Osmium, the world's heaviest element, costs about 45 USD per GRAM. Since Osmium is the heaviest element, you'd expect it to be pretty heavy, but when I first read this sentence, I completely missed the decimal. I ended up thinking that a cubic inch of Osmium weighed over 800 POUNDS. 816 thousandths of a pound is pretty hefty though. What am I doing with my life.
