Chapter 1 Throughout the night, a creature darker than the rising moon crawled throughout the city. The creatures eyes were a fiery orange color with fur as black as ink 4 legged, it seemed like any ordinary cat. Or that's what you're supposed to think at least. The people in this city have always hated me around because of bad luck blah blah blah. Every stare, every muttered word behind my back, carries the weight of their superstition. I’m the stranger, the omen, the shadow they blame when their crops fail or the wind blows a little too hard. They don’t even need a reason anymore; my existence is guilt enough. But the truth? The truth is much worse than they imagine. I wish it was just bad luck. I wish it was just superstition. But what crawls through the streets tonight, slipping between alleys and rooftops, isn’t bad luck. It isn’t ordinary. It’s a beast, an entity that defies understanding. And it’s mine to control, or at least try to. I am in control of It's body, keeping it away. I must not let it have freedom, or else everything I've ever lived for is doomed.
