-.| Welcome to ‘ birds in a flower field, ‘ an Urchinclan litter adopted by Nightingalespin!! this is their last litter, since they already have had two! |.- ╭┈─┈─┈─┈ ─ ⚘ ∘ ._________________ ╰▹ ❝ Backstory ❞ Nightingale hadn’t been the same after the loss of their father. they were more quiet, a touch bit reserved, they hardly were able to drag themselves out of their nest, and yet they still managed. they couldn’t show anyone their pain, or else they’ll be pitied. they’d see the soft and sad expressions of their clanmates, and they couldn’t handle that. Nightingalespin was out of camp, as they usually were, when they heard the meows of tiny kits. after adopting two litters, they recognized the sound quickly. the small light-brown and black-splotched warrior quietly padded over to the ferns, where a litter of six wonderful kits were nestled. their biological parents were no where to be found. they sighed, picking up the kits in their jaws and bringing them back to camp. now, they were a bit cautious with adopting this litter, as they already had many children to care for, and they were afraid they wouldn’t be a good parent to the little ones. at first they were distant, sighing as the kits finally opened their eyes and curiously explored the nursery. then, as a bit of time passed, they started interacting with the six more. a few gentle nudges to pick them back up on their paws, a little bit of grooming when one of them got too much sand in their pelt. soon after a moon had passed, they decided to adopt the bundle of furs, naming each of them soon after. after the war, they were forced to become a loner because of the looming fear of Fallenstar and her power, having to choose of their kits who to bring with them. eventually, they picked the three they'd bring and left the other three in the care of their birth clan, hoping their older kits would care for their younger siblings. ╭┈─┈─┈─┈ ─ ⚘ ∘ ._________________ ╰▹ ❝ Nightingale's parenting style ❞ (deceased) Nightingalespin is certainly a protective parent. no one would even come close to hurting their kits, as they would definitely not let them. Nin likes to interact with their kits at times, but thinks that having them learn and grow without depending on them fully would benefit them. of course, they’ll love their kits to the bottom of their heart, and would be absolutely devastated if they were to die before them. they would do anything for the kittens, whether it be giving a very stern talking to one of their enemies, or dying in their place. they will try constantly to visit them now that they are a loner, and will typically, once the three are apprentices, set up meetings for them to meet. Nightingalespin uses they/them pronouns, and doesn’t mind what title is used. it could simply be mom/mother/momma, father/papa/dad, or mada/dama, which are a few non-binary titles. ╭┈─┈─┈─┈ ─ ⚘ ∘ ._________________ ╰▹ ❝ Rules ❞ - absolutely no transphobia, homophobia, racism, xenophobia or any other hateful thing. I know I cannot force this, but I love these designs and would hate to see these kits go early.
