I love SSBU, but I don't really like some of the characters. This'll explain my reasoning for Cutting Characters: Dark Samus: Echo. I'd be cool with them returning with a new moveset though. Yoshi: I love yoshi, but how he works in smash? Heck no. Jigglypuff: Not only do I hate this playstyle, from what I've heard they are not even remotely a good reference to what Jigglypuff does. I cut this one with joy. Daisy: Echo. she should literally be a costume for Peach. Ice Climbers: Such. cool idea, 2 characters at once, however, They aren't nearly Iconic enough to be in a shaved down roster. Sheik: kind boring NGL. If they just never brought back Sheik for Ultimate, I don't think I would have noticed. Pichu: My friend mains him, and since then Pichu has started to grow on me, but they need to go. Ideally, they do something cool with Pikachu, like an evolving gimmick that allows both Pikachu and Pichu to be here. (and my goat Raichu) Falco: Never liked Falco. Lucina: Marth and Robin are here. Everything she represents is accounted for. Young link: another annoying character. didn't care much about this cut. Roy: One of the last cuts I made, Unfortunate enough to be a Fire emblem character. Chrom: I really don't care about this guy. Meta Knight: My Goat... I love this dude, but something about him just doesn't seem like it needs to be brought back in a shaved roster. Dark Pit: Echo. Just make him one of Pit's alts. (Again) Zero Suit Samus: I hate the playstyle. She doesn't do much interesting anyways, just Gun, Whip, Kick. Ike: Another unfortunate loss of the Fire Emblem Massacre. Definitely my favorite fighter from the series though. Diddy Kong: Love the character, hate how they were represented. They are just Monke. Lucas: I love cutting Lucas, he's so annoying. Besides, he is an Echo-ish fighter. I think it's fair. Dedede: Another one of my Goats. It's a shame he's cut, but I'm keeping 3 better villains down the line. Olimar: Does anyone actually like this fighter? Lucario: Cool, but I don't want too many pokemon characters. Toon Link: He's fine I guess. better than the Young link monstrocity, but he's still another Link soooo... Wolf: Ideally they don't cut wolf. He's my favorite take on the star fox moveset, but he kinda has to go. Wii Fit Trainer: The Wii is goated, but this fighter isn't Rosalina and Luma: They are just kinda annoying. Add Waluigi instead. Palutena: Cool character. I'd prefer Hades or Medusa though. Or, they could add my goat Orcos. Bowser Jr.: Fine I guess. Just not deserving over the other mario reps in already. Duck Hunt: Boring Ken: Okay, this one is a little controversial. Ken's awesome, but I also kept the other 3 shotos, so street fighter got cut down to it's most iconic fighter. Corrin: Do I even need to explain this one? Bayonetta: Fine character, but they just kind stagnated in between 4 and Ultimate in my opinion. Richter: One Castlevania rep is enough. Make him one of Simon's alts. Best of both worlds. Isabelle: Annoying, I personally think one animal crossing rep is enough as well. Incineroar: This one hurts. one of my mains, and a super interesting character. He just got cut because Pokemon as a franchise got slashed hard. Piranha Plant: Funny, But I would have prefered Goomba in smash. Byleth: Yet another victim of the Fire Emblem massacre. Of any, I'd be most okay with Byleth returning because 3 Houses sold the best of the series. Min Min: Cut purley because they are incredibly annoying. Pyra/ Mithra: Annoying, nobody really likes them except for the Xenoblade nerds. Sora: Another controversial one, I'd imagine. I'm just not super keen on Sora staying. Mii Swordfighter/ Gunner: I love the inclusion of Mii's, but I only kept brawler for simplicity's sake.(also, I main him) Ideally, they make it one slot like it was in smash 4, with all of them included.
This'll explain my reasoning for keeping certain characters: Ganondorf: My goat. I've never had an issue with the moveset, but if they did make a new one, that's A-Ok with me. Mewtwo: Super iconic. Remember back in the Brawl and early Smash 4 days when people were wanting Mewtwo back? He has to stay. Wario: I think he's Iconic enough to stay. Little Mac: Bias. he was super popular back in the NES days though because of Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! I think he's single handedly the worst represented character in the game, so If he came back, I'd hope they redid his moveset. Cloud: Not sure how likely it is, but Square seem to be loosening the restrictions on their IP's. Also, Cloud is a cool character. Ridley: It's impossible to go back now. Very heavily requested for years. This proves that there's no dream "Too Big." K Rool: K Rool is one of my favorite video game characters of all time. On top of that he was heavily requested, and has a Banger Moveset. Banjo and Kazooie: My favorite gaming series of all time. They also really deserve to be in smash, while being heavily requested, on top of Rare being perfectly fine with their inclusion. Terry: He's just fun. I also think he references SNK as a whole, so that's cool. Sephiroth: This one isn't feasible I know, but Sephiroth is just plain awesome. My favorite Final Smash in the game, my favorite down air in the game, one of the most fun Up B's in the game, and the shirtless alts just sell it. I hope this clears up any confusion over everything here
