I joined scratch in 6th grade for school in 2019. I was the only student in my entire grade to continue using scratch. I absolutely loved it. This place has done so much for me, and I loved it so much. I animated my first animations here. I wrote my first fanfiction here. I met so many great people and was introduced to so many great things. I’m incredibly lucky to have had such a wonderful experience here, and that it had such a positive impact on my life, especially my art and storytelling. Last month I hit 5 years here on this site. Honestly it’s sort of strange to think that the kid who posted all that art back in 2020 and 2021 was me, but I’m very happy I stayed here as long as I have. It’s created an archive for my art throughout middle school and highschool, and I find that incredibly valuable. I’m going to go now. I was planning on leaving when I turned 18, but now I’ve decided I’m leaving at the very latest when I turn 17 in April. I’ll still be here until then. But now I’m done. I don’t think it’s the best thing for someone as old as I am to be on a site around younger kids, like 7-8 year olds. Like yeah we’re all minors, but there’s a huge difference between a 16yo and a 7yo. I’m almost an adult, and I’m going to go broaden my horizons now with other places. I’m so so grateful to have met my friends here. While I get ready to leave, I’ll be getting everything in order. So I’ll get everything set up and ready to go with stuff like the rain world RP or OTA leftover designs. I have other places for my friends to reach me. If you want my socials, ask.
