"What's this?" Rosalia was just about to leave class when a card fell from her book. She picked it up and read: "All Students have been invited to the Annual Winter Ball at Hogwarts which will be held on the eve of 1st January. You are requested to bring someone along, as friends or as a date, and are supposed to wear anything between casual and fashionable. Two Students will be chosen as the Winter King and Queen." "Oh wow," she breathed, "I've got to find a dress, some shoes, do my hair, and..." she sighed, "Find someone to bring along," She left class and wondered, "Who will help her manage all those?" *** "Thanks, Aunt," "You're welcome, dear," Aunt Caroline replied, "Honestly, it wasn't much of a problem. I bought that stuff as soon as I got your letter. The dress was easy, but the shoes were quite a challenge. They only had heels, so I hope you'll get used to it," Aunt Caroline then apparated away. "I've gotten the dress, shoes, and I've gotten an image for my hair," she told herself, "Now, I just need someone to bring," *** "They're gorgeous!" praised Everleigh, while looking down on Rosalia's bed, where she put her dress and shoes. "Thanks," replied Rosalia. "I love your shoes!" Luna exclaimed. "Thanks, I like yours, too," "I think I'm ready," Everleigh said, "I'll leave early. See you both there!" She left the dorm. "Luna," Rosalia said, "Has anyone asked you to the ball?" "No," Luna replied with a hint of disappointment, "What about you?" "Not a soul" "I thought Terry or Anthony would ask you" "Me, too. Oh, it's alright. At least I'm not the only one who's going to the ball alone," Just then, Rosalia remembered: her headpiece was still in the common room. "Hang on," she said, "I forgot something," She stepped out of the dorm and into the common room. But suddenly, Terry and Anthony appeared. "I want to ask you—" they both said in unison, but Rosalia raised a hand to stop them. She didn't want any drama, but a lightbulb flickered in her mind. "I'm not in the mood to choose," she said, frustrated, "So you'll have to sort this out yourselves. All I know is that whoever's not going with me, will have to go with someone else," "Who?" Anthony chimed in. "Luna Lovegood," "Loony Lovegood?!" Terry 'repeated' in shock. Rosalia's anger flared up even more. "Say that again," she said, angry. "I meant," Terry quickly corrected, "Luna Lovegood," "That's better. Yes, her," She grabbed the headpiece she was looking for and went back to her dorm. A few minutes went by and Rosalia decided to check on Terry and Anthony. She peered behind a pillar and watched the two boys play chess, the winner probably would go with her. Just then, she heard Terry shout, "YES!" She revealed herself and said, "Now, Anthony. You will go with Luna." She changed her voice to a threatening one. "If," she said, "I get a single complaint from her about you treating her horribly, you are so d3," she pulled her wand out, "I know a few spells," Anthony gulped and said, "Yes, ma'am," She turned to Terry. "I don't want to see you until it's time for the ball," she said, "Got it?" "Yes, ma'am" She got back to her dorm to put her dress, shoes, and did her hair. She also helped Luna do her hair. At last, they were both ready. It was then that Rosalia decided to break the news. "Luna," she said, "Terry asked me to the ball, and I forced Anthony to go with you. Don't worry, he'll treat you like a queen," she winked. "Thank you," Luna replied, "You didn't need to," They left the dorm and went to where the ball was being held. Luna went to find Anthony, while Terry came to Rosalia. "It's funny, isn't it?" he asked. "What is?" asked Rosalia. "Two awkward people in a ball together," "You're calling me awkward?" "You're asking me to lie?" "No, but umm..." "That's what you call awkward," Terry grinned. Rosalia rolled her eyes. "You're more awkward than I am," she said. "No, I'm not!" "You are," "Enough of this!" Terry said, "If you're hungry, there's some food there," he pointed to a table full of snacks. "I'm not hungry," replied Rosalia, "But I won't refuse some food," They hurried over to the table, but Rosalia lost her balance and fell. "That was awkward," Terry said, laughing, "I told you that you're more awkward than I am," "Just help me up," said Rosalia, annoyed. Terry held out a hand, which Rosalia took. They had some food, and spent the rest of the ball talking and laughing
