Gunnar Baird - 24 - male, he/him (pronounced the same way as Gunner) appearance. Gunnar is barely 6', but his ego seems to add 2 inches. he has pale skin and some small scars from the many fights he's been in over time. the most notable one is the one through the right corner of his lip. (he brags about it alot because he claims it was the "scariest guy he ever fought") his hair is a very dark brown color, and it's short and kinda spiky. he has downturned brown eyes with a mole under the right one. his eyebrows are a little less than thick, and they make his resting face seem irritated. naturally, he has a good amount of muscle since he spends a lot of time being active. personality. Gunnar is a punch first, ask questions later kind of guy. he's constantly getting into trouble that he has no business being in. usually it's a surprise to see him emerge in one piece. he can't say he's doing what he does for a good cause, because he's not necessarily a good person. in fact, he sees himself as more of an antihero than a hero. he'd never hurt an innocent life, but he will do things that are wrong to stop people from making things worse (usually for himself). he can be cocky at times, mostly because he's a great fighter. unfortunately he's not good at talking, appearing closed off and aloof to most people. he doesn't like making friends or growing attached to anyone-- more for their sake than his. backstory. since a young age, Gunnar was very.. troubled. he always struggled with fitting in because of the reputation of his family. they were famous criminals, always on the run and leaving him with his grandmother to commit more crimes. they'd only visit once or twice a month. after one kid humiliated him in front of the entire school, Gunnar turned to fighting. at first, it was only to shut those kids up. but he couldn't deny how winning gave him a sense of strength and made him feel untouchable, if only for a little while. for this, he constantly got in trouble as he grew up. after the death of his grandmother when Gunnar was 12, he was taken in by a gang leader's brother, introducing him to an entirely new world. to Gunnar, it normalized doing things that weren't technically safe or right.
