As much as everyone likes to pretend their falconcats can fly every other cat around on their back, realistically, this is not the case. So as much as you may want your caverncat or pyrocat to join FalconClan, the odds aren't in your favor. FalconClan's camp is on a mountain. One with a near ninety-degree drop from its highest point, ensuring that only FalconClan's own can get up-- or down. With no way to get up the mountain, outsiders aren't simply unwelcome to join FalconClan, but quite literally /can't/. And once you get there? Your cat will have no foolproof way to get back down to the ground. This prevents them from doing any warrior duties such as hunting and border patrol. You may say-- but what if another cat carries them down? That's viable, however NPCs would be disallowed from taking them down. This would require heavy moderation of any flightless felines among FalconClan's ranks, and it would seem illogical to submit only a few roleplayers to this severe watch. This means any flightless cat who joins FalconClan would be permanently confined to camp. This leaves them one option: becoming a permanent nursery queen. This is a role you may be familiar with from Daisy from the books, and one we actually welcome in TSS and even give kits the opportunity to become instead of a warrior- you just have to ask me before your ceremony! This role is like a broodmother of the Clans. They help the queens with their jobs and take care of all the kittens of the Clan. I mean.. or your cat could retire early and become an elder. But that's boring, why would you want that? This project isn't to say outsiders can't join FalconClan, but rather to explain the issues surrounding it, and ensure any roleplayers interested would be aware of them. If you're still interested in your rogue or loner oc joining FalconClan after reading this- be my guest! Just... so long as they can get carried up the mountain to stay in camp in the first place! Falconcats CAN carry: Seacats Pyrocats 14 in. or under Normal cats 14. in or under Falconcats CANNOT carry: Caverncats Other falconcats Pyrocats 15 in. or higher Final note: Due to icecats' ability to scale mountains in a similar fashion to a mountain goat, icecats can get up and down the mountain, albeit slower than a flying cat, and can easily take part in warrior duties.
