Chapter 18-Home From Hogwarts The next few months went along quickly. Sure there were many more petrification attacks, but Rosalia wasn't that much affected. She started studying for her final exams a month before it actually started; "You can never start studying too early!" she told a confused Ariana. But it was all worth it—the exam became very easy and she got all perfect marks (even getting a 114% on Charms for including undiscussed topics). Ariana, Luna, Everleigh, Terry, Anthony, basically all her friends passed. And soon, it was time for the end of year feast. The morning before the feast, Rosalia encountered Ariana in the halls. "Hi," Ariana greeted. "I can't believe we're going to finish our first year soon!" "Me neither," replied Rosalia. "Write to me a lot during the summer break, you got it?" Rosalia chuckled. "Got it." *** Rosalia was looking around the Great Hall, which was in Gryffindor decorations; they won the House Cup. Even though Rosalia wished that Ravenclaw won, she was still glad that Gryffindor won, because other than Ravenclaw, Gryffindor was her favorite house. Just then, Dumbledore stood. "Another year at Hogwarts ends!" he said cheerfully, "Now, I would like for you to empty your heads so they could be filled up when the new school year starts! I also hope that your heads are at least a little fuller than they were when you first stepped into Hogwarts!" After his speech, all the students and staff ate until they were satisfied. Rosalia looked around the Great Hall one last time before she wouldn't be seeing it for two months. When the feast ended, everyone left the Great Hall. While in the halls, she caught sight of Ariana and walked over to her. "Are you excited for the summer break?" asked Rosalia. "I'm not sure myself," admitted Ariana, "And you?" "I'm not sure, either," answered Rosalia, wondering how her adoptive parents would react when they find out that she had magical hertiage. "Well, we better get to bed," Ariana said, "We have a long day ahead of us," Rosalia went back to her dorm, but didn't sleep immediately. She found an owl holding a letter in its claws. She took it and found out that it was from her adoptive parents. Summarizing it, she thought, "They want me to take the bus home from the Hogwarts Express because they'll be busy," and went to bed. *** Rosalia stepped out of the train and said goodbye to Ariana, Luna, and Everleigh. Then, she ran to the nearest bus station and waited. After a few minutes, the bus showed up. She took careful steps and took a seat. She was so tired, but urged herself not to fall asleep, fearing that she might miss her stop, but couldn't control the heaviness of her eyes. When she woke up, she was relieved to see that she woke up just in time for her stop. She got out of the bus and walked the rest of the way home, since she knew the way perfectly well and it wasn't far. When she opened the front door, she expected her parents to greet her. Instead, she didn't see anyone until she walked into the family room to find not only her parents, but Aunt Caroline as well. "My dear," her Mum said, "Y-you're actually adopted. And this is your real aunt,"
