Bonus Chapter Winter Ball (4th year) -------------------------- This whole mess started with Jackie ramming into me. One minute I was heading to Quidditch, the next, Jackie was asking me to this Winter Ball thing in the most awkward way possible. She said, "Soo I got this invite," mumble, mumble, "and I was wondering if- you- would- like - to- go-with-- with me-?" My heart rate sped up. I was pretty sure my face looked like a sunbaked tomato. "Uh, uh- Sure." I said. Jackie gave me a thumbs up and walked away. I just stared into nothingness until my mind cleared enough to head to where I was headed. And now, I'm pacing the floor in my dorm, trying to smooth my dark blond hair, fretting over every little thing to make sure this goes as smoothly as possible. I can remember how badly the last ball crashed. When I finally calm down enough, I go out and run to Jackie's dorm. Okay, so I might be breaking a 'boy rule' by my presence here, but, who car3s, really. I knock on the door and Jackie opens it. "Uhhhh hi-?" I ask and immediately regret it. Jackie laughs and says, "Hello," very slowly, like I'm half-deaf or something. It seems Jackie hears something because she runs past me. I follow Jackie and she finds her twin, Bella and hugs her. How Bella got into the Hufflepuff common room, I don't know. "Hi Bella," Jackie yells excitedly. "Jackie!" Her twin yells back They hug for a long time. Finnaly, we get to the ball and Bella goes off and it's just me and Jackie. Then a slow song starts up and... Me and Jackie kinda tripped over each other the whole time. Most of the time, we're just standing near a wall being insane and imitating various teachers. Until some kid rams into Jackie and she almost fall towards a window. I start breathing quickly and without thinking, catches her. "Thanks," She says and I try not to turn into a tomato. Then, we just go back to being awkward and insane. --------------
