Chapter 19-Summer Break Plan Difference "W-what?" Rosalia said. "I'm adopted?" "Oh, dear, Rosalia," Aunt Caroline intervened. "Don't ask so surprised. You knew me from the start. Plus, look at all of you!" It was true. Unlike her, Rosalia's parents had brown hair and blue eyes. Her Mum handed her a something; they were adoption papers. "I'm so sorry, dear Josie," her Dad apologized. "You had a right to know and we didn't tell you!" "Yes, well," Aunt Caroline turned to her adoptive parents. "She's going to live with her blood relatives now: me." "Really?" Rosalia asked. "Really. Now let's go," "Aunt," Rosalia said. "My things! They're still here!" "Show me your room!" They both ascended to the second floor and Rosalia opened the door to her room. "See," Rosalia said. "There's a lot of stuff and—" Aunt Caroline pulled her wand out and told Rosalia to open her trunk. She did, and Aunt Caroline muttered a spell and next, she pointed her wand at all of Rosalia's things and they floated gently into the trunk. "There," Aunt Caroline said. "Now let's go," "Alright, I just need to say goodbye to—" It was too late; they had already apparated. When Rosalia finally opened her eyes, her jaw fell open. They had apparated to a big, white mansion with security trolls lined up around it. "You live here?" she asked Aunt Caroline. "Of course!" They got inside, and the inside was even bigger. "Where can I put my stuff?" Rosalia asked. "On the fourth floor," answered Aunt Caroline calmly. "How many floors are there?" "About six" "Six?!" "Six. Now get to your room." She climbed up a staircase and counted the floors. By the third floor, she was exhausted. She took a five minute break and ascended the stairs again. Finally, she arrived on the fourth floor. But there was another problem: there were no rooms. Was she supposed to sleep there? Right on the floor? However, she continued to walk down the halls anyway. Eventually, she found a door, which she opened, and discovered that it was a bedroom. "Thank goodness..." she mumbled under her breath. She put her trunk on the floor and stepped to the bed. She put her hand on it and was surprised; it was the softest bed she had ever touched. Even better, there was a ginormous bookshelf near the bed, filled with books. She lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling, which was covered with a painting of a witch and wizard duelling. She didn't know how long she lay, but she did know that an owl came with a roll of parchment paper in its claws. She got off the bed and took the letter and read it: "Dear Rosalia, Come down to the third floor to have supper and learn about yourself. From, Aunt Caroline D. Estelle." She laid the letter on a nightstand and walked out of the room and descended the staircase to the third floor, where a long table was placed, with Aunt Caroline sitting on one end. Rosalia took the seat next to Aunt Caroline. "Rosalia, dear," Aunt Caroline said. "Here is where your personal information is written. Read it." She gave her a roll of parchment paper. She opened it an read: "Name: Rosalia Livenor Oxine Alevana Estelle Birth date: March 23rd 1981 Blood status: Pureblood Parents: Charles Estelle and Elliana Estelle Siblings: - " "My real birthday's on March?" Rosalia asked. "Yes," "So, I'm already—" "Yes, you're already twelve years old." She couldn't believe it. She was already twelve, but didn't even notice. "So, what's for supper?" Rosalia asked, changing the subject. "Some stake with mashed potatoes," replied Aunt Caroline. Soon, supper was served and after she finished, Rosalia went back to her room and went to bed. *** Rosalia had already stayed at Aunt Caroline's for a month—half of her vacation. It wasn't exactly pleasant, since Aunt Caroline and her didn't have anything in common at all (except about being a Ravenclaw). On a pleasant sunny day, however, the most unexpected happened. Aunt Caroline was talking about how Muggles and Muggle-borns were "nothing but a burden to all", when there was a knock at the door. Aunt Caroline opened the door, and Rosalia was right behind her. "Good evening, Caroline," a woman said. "Good evening..." a reluctant Aunt Caroline said, "Elliana," "Elliana?!" repeated Rosalia, shocked. "Isn't that the name of my—" "Mother"
