Chapter 4 - Random stuff that happened next... ************************************************************** "What did she want?" Audrey asks me during dinner. "Professor McGonagall? Oh, you know, Harry Potter's going to be-" I lower my voice, "Seeker on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Typical." I raise my voice again. "She offered to ask Professor Snape about it- and Dumbledore, too. But I refused." "Refused what?" Draco asks. Nosy idiot, I think. "It's nothing," I turn back to Audrey, "Don't feel like training and not having any free time, you know?" I glance over at Harry Potter: he's talking to the Weasley twins, and, typical, Draco and his gorilla friends are headed over there, too. I frown. What does he want now? "C'mon, Audrey." I grab her arm and pull her up. She gives me a confused look. I try to pretend I'm done eating as I edge closer. "...if you want. Wizard's duel..." What's a Wizard's duel? A fight with magic? I edge closer."...Midnight all right?..." I can't pretend any more. I walk over and Audrey follows. "You shouldn't," I say, "He's a coward. He won't show up. You'll just get in trouble. Oh, and congrats." "Eavesdropping, are we?" Ron asks. "It's none of your business." Harry adds. "Fine, have it your way, //Potter//." I walk away Reckless, he is. Reckless. "Tell me the real reason you don't want to play on the Slytherin Quidditch team." Audrey demands. "I.. don't want to help these people. I know they're my house, but they don't feel right. Not the people I want to be associated with." I explain. "What about me? Do I 'feel right?'" She asks. "Nope. You feel perfect." I smile, and she smiles back. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Later that night... I lie awake, unable to sleep. I frown, then tiptoe to the common room to see if Draco might leave. It's 11:30pm. "What are you doing here?" I turn around... Malfoy.
Sorry: it's short.
