"Can we get to the part where we all brutally murder each other now?" He barked, tapping his foot impatiently. Before Grove could answer his counterpart, Spark lunged at him, fangs bared and claws extended. Grove skidded towards the end of the room, already cornered. Letting out a hiss, he glared at him with such intense fury, it seemed as if his eyes were stabbing him with imaginary daggers. With a wince, Grove's bandaged tail cowered between his legs, as he quickly tried to take off the gloves. "C'mon, c'mon..." He said, clearly panicked, as Spark approuched closer and closer. "Time to die, you sniveling worm." He snarled, then raced up towards him with a might battle cry. Something shattered against the ground. Feuiya couldn't help but let out a gasp, as her sister only stared with widened eyes. Grove stood there, finally unmasked. His face was similar, but not an exact copy of Spark's. Though they did have peculiar matching scars. Grove gasped for breath, winded from the impact. A yelp drew Feuiya's and Coraline's attention away from the two as Basil stood, with Root circling around him like a vulture. /Huh. That's why they look so alike. How did I never realize they were counterparts?/ Feuiya wondered. "Aw...c'mon. What you scared of me? Go ahead, posses me. It's in your power after all." He teased. Basil seemed... terrified. But of Root? Why? Root seemed... off. His expression was one of a maniac, as if he were /wanting/ Basil to even try. "No...I won't. You can't make me! Your not in control of me!" He replied, but his voice shook and quavered every few words. "You want me to try, then you'll just get back up and the curse will be in motion! Even if I win, you'll have victory, because I'm supposed to suffer from it now." "Curse?" Coraline thought aloud. "There's a curse, when a Puppiteer posses someone, the curse is in motion. Basically, it's where you have to posses someone every few days in order to survive." Amber, Feuiya's counterpart, suddenly appeared behind them to explain. "Also I'm Amber, your counterpart." She nodded at her. "What." Feuiya replied plainly. "Oh, but your life has no purpose but to defeat me! So, why don't you fufill it now? It's not like your important anyways, your not even a full person!" Root mocked Basil, seeming not at all like himself. "Remember all those times I killed you? Then I brought you back, just so I could do it again? Doesn't that make you furious? Why not take it out on me now?" What? Surely that couldn't be true? Was Root telling the truth, or just somehow turning insane? "Remember when you saved me when Grove was going to kill me after I failed, and I repaid you by giving you a painful demise? C'mon, I know you want to come at me?" He waved his left paw, and on the pad was... the Champion's Mark. Root was a champion, he'd faced Grove before, failed, then basil saved him? This...it all didn't make sense. Had Root been torturing Basil, then reviving him just to do it again? Was everything he'd done for her, and for Coraline, all a lie? He was only lying about his love for Coraline so he could earn the both of theirs trust after apoligizing, wasn't he? "Spark, come on. at least let this be a fair fight." Grove grunted, seeming slightly recovered. Spark laughed eeirily and the sound bounced off the walls, echoing the unsettling noise. "Fair? FAIR?!" He screeched. "You think any of this is fair?!" He waved his paw around the room wildly. "You think I wanted to be stuck in an endless cycle of killing and getting killed by a moron, waiting for some stupid Champions to set me free from my fate?!? No offense to you of course." He added, glancing at Feuiya. Coraline rolled her eyes. "Look, I get it. I feel the same way, but-" Grove started, but was cut off Spark abruptly tried to take another swing at him. He missed. Root suddenly decided to get on the action and kicked a distracted basil in the face. He yelped in both surprise and pain as he fell to the floor, clutching his left eye as he tried desperately to scoot away from Root, who seemed eager to watch Basil suffer. (There are some finished panels of the scene where Grove is unmasked I put inside of the project, so I would reccommend looking at those to get a more detailed view of Grove's actual face.)
