(organized by aesthetics) kawaii + softcore + harajuko + scene + gyaru clothes while they are all similar there are few things that are different. kawaii clothes are originated from Japanese culture for a cute aesthetically pleasing vibe, softcore clothes are a much more light soft colored cutesy, very feminine version. Harajuko is also pretty different but I'm putting them together anyway. Harajuku is like scene aesthetic meets kawaii. its very bold Intruiging colorful yet cute outfits, similar to gyaru. gyaru is a branch of many different types but its basically leopard prints, bold colors, big loud accessories and clothing choices Scene is a bit different. idk how to explain them, its like harajuku meets grunge meets weird core meets kawaii I guess? - hot topic - it gets a wrap for emo clothes but you can find really cute clothes there especially for scene, harajuku and kawaii and a little for gyaru clothes ! - romwe - its kind of like Shein but it literally has stuff for all of these aesthetics and a large range of sizes :) vintage preppy/schoolgirl/tennis + tiktok preppy vintage preppy is far different than the preppy we know today. vintage preppy was associated with wealth, sporty style and big on tennis skirts and collared shirts. TikTok preppy is more know as sporty expensive stuff as well but instead of focusing on pastels they made it more colorful - American eagle - great for vintage preppy clothes and new preppy. a bit pricy - Lululemon - extremely expensive but great for the new preppy aesthetic. clean girl + vanilla girl + basic girl clothes these all are associated with similar clothing choices just different palettes. clean girl is a more clean, sporty/casual type look to it ranging mostly in the neutral colors. vanilla girl is a casual basically just sweatpants or skirts, baggy tees or tight tees but its all different shades of white, hence the name vanilla. basic girl is a mix of both of these, all of the clothing choices above and all the clothing color palettes above. - Brandy Melville - great for basic and vanilla girl - Hollister - great for all of them, bit pricy - American eagle - rlly good for all, extremely pricy - edikted - good more intricate than these aesthetics but it works grunge + goth + trad goth + downtown girl grunge is basically downtown girl meets a little kawaii downtown girl aesthetic is associated most with basically what Rory gilmore and Bella swan wear (look it up) trad goth is very layered, black and pale with heavily inspired black makeup and bat-like type look goth is a more toned down version of trad goth, going easier on the layers and makeup but still emphasizing the point. - romwe - mentioned previously, perfect for all - Brandy Melville - y2k + streetwear y2k if you literally look up y2k you'll get your answer. sorry I'm getting tired of typing :') streetwear is very baggy, trendy clothes - Edwin - streetwear - edikted - y2k - supreme - streetwear coquette + coconut girl coconut girl is very colorful, tropical and basically ' living at the beach' type vibes coquette is very simple pastel and feminine - triangl - coconut girl - SheIn - SheIn is bad ik but they have all the aesthetics listed :') I'm tired its 11pm lmk if I should add more aesthetics
