Controls: -Arrow keys to move your character. -Space key to pick up objects, use tools, go through doors, and interact with people (your character must be touching the object, tool, door, or person). -"i" to open/close inventory. -"r" when touching a person in order to get a full refund on a purchase (must be the same person you bought the item from). If you want a refund for a trade, state the item you want to RETURN to the person. -"e" to equip a tool, eat food, or use an item. When it asks you what you want to equip, make sure to spell the item exactly how it is listed in your inventory. -"u" to unequip a tool. -"d" to delete an item from your inventory. If the item is a boot or charm, the effects will stop working once it is deleted from your inventory. An item that has been deleted cannot be restored. -If you pressed "e" or "d" but do not want to equip or delete an item, press enter without typing anything. -When talking to a character, they might offer to trade or sell you something. When they do this, two objects will appear on the screen with an arrow in between. What is on the left side of the arrow is what you will be giving them and what is on the right side of the arrow is what they will be giving you. Click on the object on the LEFT side of the arrow to trade (the objects will light up). Objects: -Your character: a person with blue hair and green clothes that you can move with arrow keys. -Rocks: they cannot be interacted with but can be mined with a pickaxe for stone, gold, or a diamond. -Trees: they cannot be interacted with but can be cut down with an axe for wood. -People: can trade or talk to you. If you steal from or antagonize them in some way, they might try to attack you (their eyes will turn red). When a person is asleep they cannot trade with, talk to, or attack you. -Monsters: colorful creatures that will hurt you if you touch them. Can be defeated with a sword and drops a monster gem when it dies. Some monsters are stronger but the gem they drop is more valuable. -Fireballs: bright orange-red balls that the boss monster will shoot at you. You'll take damage if you touch them. -Door: if it is on a building, you can use it to enter the building. If there is a colored light at the bottom right/left of the screen, this is also a door, and you can use it to exit a building or area. -Shelves: may have objects on them that can be taken or bought. -Houses: cannot be mined but you may be able to enter them through a door. -Bait: worms that are used to get fish. One bait equals one fish. -Normal coins: used to buy things but have no other purpose. -Place coins: (Ex: "field coin") used to exit a place. Cannot be used to purchase items and cannot be refunded. Exiting a place completes that level, and you cannot return to a place you left. Tools: -Pickaxe: used to mine rocks. Cannot be used as a weapon. -Swords: used to attack enemies. Can only be used against a person if that person is attacking you. Certain swords are stronger than others. -Boots: increase speed of character walk. -Power charm: takes one less hit to kill a monster. Runs out after 3 uses. Looks like a hammer. -Shield: the next five times a monster would take one of your health, nothing will happen. -Fishing rod: used to go fishing in the beach area. Only works if you have bait to fish with. -Items such as boots and charms do not need to be equipped for the effect to work. On your screen: -Upper left hand corner: your health. The maximum is 20, when your health is at 0 you lose. -Upper right hand corner: day or night. During the night the screen gets darker and all people (not including your character) go to sleep. -Bottom right hand corner: your number of coins (while in the beach area, your amount of bait will be listed here as well).
