This is a more of an awareness episode. First off, Happy Pride! Second, a warning: this is a heavier topic (race and rude language and behavior). Recently, a Splatoon World Championship Tournament was held by Nintendo. Jackpot, the best of the Northwest, won the tourney, earning a splashtag banner with their members (inkling and octolings) on it. (Shown in the project/thumbnail.) Jackpot was celebrated, but six days later (6.11.24), were outed on racist, homophobic, and zionist behavior. Some screenshots were leaked the morning of 6.11.24, calling their POC friend a monkey, making homophobic comments, and "jokingly" saying "FREE [!sr@3l]". To name them: Leafiii and Madness. Their friend, Zero, has participated in these events. Separately but additionally, Midori was revealed to be a White man rather than a Japanese woman*. Please review the evidence on other platforms! *I've seen this said multiple times, but no thread of evidence. I also have no idea who Midori is or how it's related lmbo. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Black Lives Matter. Stop Asian Hate. Respect People of Color. sources and credits inside project. for thumbnail and description.
