Another Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! (I get later every year!) Another year already, wow. I mean, it's normal for every year to feel faster, isn't it? I hope everyone had a great year, and may the next one be even better! I mixed this on bad headphones so it might not be perfect. (BTW I have to put this every year, but this is a refinement of CC2, which is a remake of CC1. Links: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/945083494/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/780906871/ ) Yeah, reason it's so late is because BS2. It was only because of me responding to comments / celebrating the release, thank god it's not anything bad like last year. On that topic, thanks for the response to BS2! It was... strangely mostly positive! I would've expected the opposite after the public beta, but I guess I added a lot since then and it was months ago anyways. Well anyways, I shared even less projects than last year but once again that means that the quality was even higher. I really hope everyone enjoyed it! I also hope that the quality actually was really high, but I don't want to gaslight myself into thinking I'm the best on Scratch or anything! Overall this year for me has had lots of ups and downs, though I think the ups outweighed the downs. For the few of you who watched the "Where I've been" project, you'd be thankful to hear that I've been feeling a lot better since then. It wasn't just that it felt good to get off my shoulders in that project, soon after I released that a friend gave me some advice that really stuck with me. I think one of the things that was keeping me from BS2 was that I knew it would never do the numbers of BS1 despite me working on this for literal years. I know, it sounds really stupid, numbers don't represent quality. But it can be hard to think of it in that way sometimes. And the reception to the public beta being so mixed only drove me into the ground. But what my friend said was something along the lines of, "Some things you can't change, but you just have to learn to live with". It wasn't relating to BS2, but yeah, that really stuck with me. Also, not getting BS2 released last year like intended, it really did make me feel like a failure, and I downplayed that on Scratch. I get that nobody wants to hear me whine on about it, but seriously, I felt like I was living with a split personality! But all of this I finally accepted, and I became more open about how I feel. I think I became a better person. And about the numbers, I now think perhaps it's not about how many people see my work, but rather if it sticks with the people who do. As is tradition now I guess, let me go through the projects this year that I think were stand out. (Please check them if you want, these are the good ones!) - Billding Site GreetyBoy Edition (APRIL FOOLS! one) - It's probably my most polished April Fools project thinking about it. Also I guess this is BS1's story mode? But it was pretty funny to incorporate my version of 's character into BS1, and it has a nice ending >:] - BS2 and ZA OSTs - I mean, you've probably already heard BS2's soundtrack from in game, but check out the ZA OST if you haven't! Working on these chiptune soundtracks for the past two years has really taught me how to get the most out of few sound channels, hence why my music now sounds so much more polished than 2022. Yeah, both soundtracks still hold up in my eyes. Oh yeah, my holiday to Canberra was also really fun. Seeing stuff there with my friends was a nice change of pace from Scratch. - Do Something Different - I mean, this is my best project in terms of Audio and visuals, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to top it! - Billding Site 2 - Do I really need to say more? I think this is *one of* the best games on Scratch. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. One of my biggest Christmas wishes this year (if you can call it that) was finally releasing BS2. Also it got a lot more attention than I expected, probably due to hearting it. I guess what I was thinking about it not even beating BS1 in terms of numbers might not evn be true if it continues to grow at this rate! Anyways, long description over. Uh, I can't think of what else to put here, have a great 2025! -WONGMY
