it’s the last day of December, so i’m taking my Welshies for a wintertime ride. (hehe, just pretend it is still December) first i got Lexy and rode her around a few of the jumps. she really liked the last XC course i took her to, so i figured she would love this one. She liked splashing in the water, and the downhill jumps. a few were a bit higher than i wanted her to jump so we only did a few of them. Secondly i brought Glade and rode her around. We did a few of the taller jumps but since she’s younger I did not want to put too much stress on her joints. Glade had a great time and definitely enjoyed the ride last of all, i brought Maverick to the course. He’s the most experienced of my horses i brought today, so i let him go over more of the higher jumps than the other two. He really enjoyed it but had a few stubborn stops so he could enjoy some grass, or look at the snow, or just take a closer look at a particular jump. other than that, it went great.
