[ Shepherd-- | Bear/Shepherd | She/Her ] / / / Woodland Wanderers / / / In a dry, forested area, a group- no, a faction of Triceracats (based off of triceratops) live peacefully. These cats not only have a unique way of life, they have a unique belief system and rank system/names. / / / Ranks / / / -> Forestwatcher (Leader) Suffix: ‘_forest / _watcher’ The forestwatcher’s job is to keep everything in shape. They hand out punishments, keep their beliefs going and help respect their ancestors- they set an example for their faction and take their role very seriously. They also commit to any tasks that the normal clan leader would (e.g. deputy naming, going to gatherings, making new warriors, ect.) -> Canopycarer (Deputy) The canopycarer’s job is to take over when the forestwatcher passes (a given), but also to send out patrol, to encourage others to strive and try hard, and is the forestwatcher’s wingman. They don’t have to agree with the forestwatcher, but they are supposed to follow/agree with their decisions (unless you are evil or the forestwatcher is evil then it’s their job to overthrow them) -> Oaktraveller (Messenger) The Oaktraveller is a cat who spends most of their time travelling to other faction’s territory’s to send messages and learn more things. This cat may even be responsible for sending out spies (which are normal Thicketguards normally) when needed/necessary. -> Fernhealer (Medic/Medicine cat) The Fernhealer is the medic/medicine cat of the group. They are expected to heal others and can also be a cat to go to for good advice. They also have a special ‘connection’ with their ancestors, and every night they do a ritual (as part of their belief system). -> Fernhelper (Medic/Medicine cat apprentice) The Fernhelper is the Fernhealer’s trainee (apprentice), they learn everything a Fernhealer knows to eventually become one. -> Thicketguard (Warrior) A thicketguard takes on the role of a warrior, these cats hunt (or in this dinocat’s case foraging), and protect the borders of their territory. -> Thickethelper (Apprentice) A thickethelper is a trainee who will be trained by a thicketguard to one day become one. They will learn to forage, fight and other useful skills. -> Sprouts (Kits) Sprouts are kits under the age of 6 moons. They do kit stuff like playing and being annoying. -> Sproutnursers (Queens) Sproutnursers are queens who are caring for or expecting kits, these are usually Thicketguards who are taking a break from being one to care for their kits. -> Greatoaks (Elders) These cats are old and wise, retired thicket guards and fernhealers, usually the oldest in the group. / / / Unique Traits / / / Triceratops traits are most commonly found in these cats, they have triceratops horns and are shorter and a bit bulkier/muscular. These cats also don’t have as sharp teeth due to this, and being herbivores (they still have teeth though), and use different forms of self defence, other than biting others which may be commonly done by other dinocats. Some forms of combat/self defence moves they use include: -> Using their horns to headbutt/poke at the opponent- the horns are big and sharp(?) so this would obviously hurt! -> Just running at them and attempting to trample of them (most of the time unsuccessful), due to their heavy weight this would hurt a lot! -> Clawing their opponent. These Dino cats do have claws, and they are way sharper than their teeth, but not their main weapon. These types of Dino cats commonly look like this (some may not look like this of course): -> Three Horns (a given) unless one was somehow removed due to injuries (super unlikely). -> Meduim/short height -> Muscular build -> Green, yellow, orange, brown, and (dark) grey pelt colours (can be blended, different shades, ect) -> Green, hazel/brown, blue, yellow, grey eyes -> Short fur (not fluffy/long haired) These cats are one with their territory, and land around them. They love nature and are like treehuggers. They believe when nature shows signs of healthiness and like a good environment (rain Comming after a drought, lots of plants to eat, ect) it is a sign from starclan they are doing good. And if there is a drought or the opposite, they believe it’s a sign from starclan that they need to change something they are doing, or someone bad is in their group. They do believe in starclan, however, they also believe that when a cat passes they become one with nature as well, and leave a gift behind for the clan (e.g. after fakewillow passes a patch of herbs grow, this is considered a leaving gift from them). Cats in this faction take de4th seriously, and mourn every loss like what would happen in the books, and give them a proper burial to respect their service. These cats respect the nature around them deeply, and would never destroy anything nature has given them on purpose without a valid reason. [cont.]
[cont.] …this can, and will be punished if needed, as they don’t believe it is right. These cats even believe that doing that is worthy of Dark Forest entry, and if a cat passes and goes to the Dark Forest, they believe that instead of leaving a gift, they leave a small curse (though of course it isn’t real. e.g. a patch of herbs wilts after fakewillow’s de4th). Cats in this faction are commonly named after things they can find in their territory. Some of this can include; -> Types of trees, or plants -> Types of small animals -> Small forms of water (e.g. creeks) Cats in this faction live in a small, woodland area near a creek/stream, as the stream nourishes the herbs and plants nearby, making it perfect for foraging (this in which is circled on the map if you see inside, I will also add concept art there later). Cats from other groups, or loners (if an option in this rp), are able to walk on or pass through their territory, but not in large groups, and they are not permitted to stay for longer than a day, nor hunt/forage in their territory during this time. Exceptions may apply irp. The cats who live here are typically humble and kindhearted, however in the battlefield or when angered they can be merciless and powerful, yet they don’t let that side show often. Most of the cats in this group are big softies. (Not all are though, this is just what a lot of them are like). -> Forestwatcher’s pick their Canopycarer with the guidance of their ancestors, same goes for Fernhealers when picking a trainee. -> Forestwatchers can either have ‘forest’ or ‘watcher’ as their suffix as both are in the word, it’s up to them to choose what suits them best. / / / About The ForestWatcher / / / Name; Crismonwatcher Description; A yellow-gold cat with a stumpy tail, deep blue eyes, medium height with the tricertop features.
