I spent a long time sitting here trying to think of what to write. Strangely enough, I've become very attached to this digital ball of fur and I have more to say about him than there is space for. There's not a whole lot of thought put into this, just a cluttered mess of my thoughts haha Hawkcrest's life occurred at an interesting time in my own life. He was born in 2021, during COVID and also my first year of high school (which is insane to think about)! There has been a lot of ups and downs. I've had some really awesome friendships both online and in-person! I used to struggle (and sometimes still do) with forming connections with people, so opening up in that way is a little new to me!! I also survived a lot of very rigorous classes, hence my inactivity. I'm proud to have completed them! There's been a lot of difficult irl stuff alongside that, but there's been improvements. I was so excited to get Hawkkit from the fish litter! The moment I laid eyes on him, I knew I wanted to be his role-player. It sounds dramatic, but I felt very drawn towards him. Hawkcrest is my second TFCRP character (Wrinklepelt of WindClan was my first, if anyone happens to remember him from long ago), and I was thrilled to get him. I don't even think I could describe my excitement when he was born!! I was walking on air Hawkcrest's personality went in quite a different direction than my original plan. Initially, he was meant to be more awkward and stoic, but he ended up being very angry and prone to emotional outbursts. I think many of the core elements of his character managed to remain throughout, though (always has been and always will be a grump and serious introvert haha). I truly loved writing his character and his interactions: the ups and downs he had with Otterstar, his attitude towards Dewumbra, scheming with Waterracer, the endless arguments with Thrasherquell -- there were so many interesting characters and dynamics. Too many to list them all. I'm so glad to have role-played with Pounce is truly an awesome friend and I'm so glad to have met them through our little chaotic cats. Thank you for putting up with my nonsense lmaoo because I really made Hawk over-the-top edgy and horrible towards Otto :sob: there were so many rps where I just felt like I had this horrible pit in my stomach because hawk is actually a really terrible cat sometimes asdfghjkl I love their goofy dynamic when they aren't making me want to cry. Not gonna lie, I cringe a little bit thinking about how I wrote Hawkcrest haha! I can't even reread many role-plays because UGH no- nope- I can't. I just cant. love him. not enough to endure that pain though I've grown and changed a lot as a person (I hope) and am excited to be starting a new chapter in my life! Unfortunately, this also means closing the previous chapter and letting Hawkcrest go. The plan is that he will run towards the RiverClan border to die and encounter the ghost of Otterstar, who he initially thinks is taking him to StarClan. He will then go with his father, Falconblaze. But with Hawkcrest, rarely anything ever goes to plan, so we'll see what actually happens haha Also this is basically my goodbye from scratch project as well :( that's kinda wild to me actually!!
