Welcome to my DTAE! I have entered for "The Scholar". More to be posted soon! ____________________________________________ Name, Fascio di Fiori. Meaning, bundle of flowers. Gender, he/him. AGAB, AMAB. Breed, Saluki. ____________________________________________ Traits, - Extremely intelligent (common Saluki trait). - Average height (25 inches). - Average weight (55 pounds). - Unusually muscular (heavy build). - Brown eyes (common Saluki trait). - Pure bred. - Cream coat colour (common Saluki trait). ____________________________________________ Quick, still rough copy (might change in future) backstory. Fascio, surprisingly, was born in the royal family of Rome. Being a scholar, you'd wonder, why couldn't his family just pay for his own education? Well, the answer is he was raised in an orphanage. Both his parents, Re Arum (King Arum) and Begonia Regina (Queen Begonia) had tri colour coats (tan, black and white). Having that coat considered you as royalty. Fascio was born with an unusual cream coloured coat, which made is parents furious. "He broke our family heritage! Look at his pitiful, servant colour!" Re Arum complained the day of his birth, "He cannot become king!". When Fascio first came to the orphanage he was very small, only about 5 months old. His first memories where of this beautiful, tri coloured female saluki, named Custode di Uccelli (keeper of birds). They became great friends, until one day Fascio's parents returned to the Orphanage with news; Begonia Regina could not produce more young, so they had to find a heir to the throne. Fascio was furious his parents returned to they place they left their son. Custode was excited to hear such news, but Fascio kept quiet to support his friend. When the Re and Regina came towards Custode, they quickly noticed her coat, "Look! This child has the tri coloured coat!" Begonia Regina gasped. "What's your name child?" Re Arum asked. "My name is Custode di Uccelli, Re." she bowed her head. After that day, Fascio never saw Custode again. She was now Principessa (Princess) by the time he reached university on his hard earned scholarship. Fascio still misses her a lot, but surviving is more important to him than his heart. A couple years later Begonia Regina and Re Arum passed away. Everyone in Rome was at their funeral, including Fascio de Fiori. He mourned for his parents, although they cast him out of their family and forgot about him. After his parent's funeral, the time had come for appointing the new Regina. He attended the ceremony in one of the front crowds to support his old friend. /I hope she will recognize me if she sees me../ Fascio thought. When Custode stepped up from the tall balcony that stuck out from her palace, she was stunningly beautiful, with a shockingly pretty red gown and a small, silver crown. The head solider, Protettore di Molti (protector of many) came towards Principessa Custode, acclaiming her as the new Regina of Rome. He gave her a large golden crown and bowed down, signaling for everyone else in the crowd to do so too. "All hail Regina Custode di Uccelli!" he barked loudly. "All hail the new Regina!" "All hail the new Regina!" The crowds shouted. Fascio raised his head to his surprise to see Regina Custode staring at him from her place on the balcony. They made eye contact and shock was on both of their faces. Once the crowds quieted down after noticing Custode was staring at Fascio, Regina Custode raised her voice loudly, "Now that I am your Regina, I cannot rule alone!" she paused, "Fascio di Fiori, stand up from the crowds!" Fascio was utterly stunned but he obeyed the Regina, raising to his hackles slowly. The crowds gasped in surprise, "He's nothing more than a scholar!" many dogs hollered. "Fascio di Fiori, I will take you on as my Re. Guards, escort this dog to my palace!" She barked commandingly. At least ten guards came forward and escorted Fascio into Custode Regina's palace. From behind him he could hear Custode calling the ceremony to an end. The guards brought him into a changing room and closed the door, leaving Fascio di Fiori inside with a striking suit. He quickly put it on and opened the door. Regina Custode was standing a couple meters from him, "Fascio di Fiori." she smiled. He ran to Custode and gave her a huge hug, "Custode..!!" he stuttered, "I cannot believe you saw me, and chose me and.. I'm speechless! I'm so happy we can be together again!" Custode let go on Fascio, "Not just together.. but mates." she smiled as they touched noses romantically.
