❝ call me your home i'll kiss your eyes closed ❞ if you haven't heard, forest's roleplayer fen is taking a break from / leaving scratch, bringing an unexpected twist to the oaken daydreams roleplay. due to this, unfortunately i will hold a finding roleplay alone. however, i do bring news of what will be happening / changing! fen has been unreachable so far so i don't know what she intends to happen to forest and the litter, so if anything that happens after this project has a chance of being retconned, though i'm sure that's unlikely for now. <3 anyways, onto updates! forest's state of, uh, living is still undetermined until he gets hit with an activity check or fen pops back in to tell us, so until then, i'm going to say he's been hit with another bout of wanderlust and left to adventure soon after the kits were brought home. canonically, he will make occasional trips back to the florist shop to shower the kits with little treasures and trinkets, but cherry blossom will become the kits' main caretaker. he will continue to be "uncle riri" as forest is still technically father, but he will likely parent alone. updates to cherry's parenting style! since he is mostly being left to parent forest's kits for him, he might become more paranoid and less relaxed, though she still tries to maintain a relaxed and positive home environment for the kits. however, the kits might lose the muddy puddle fun and roughhousing they were meant to have with orie, as well as gain a lot more alone time to learn about the greater world themselves when cheeri cannot handle having four kittens running around at home. she will continue to teach the kits about his philosophy and beliefs, routinely check with each of the kits throughout their lives though, as well as be available to any of them if they need him. additionally, as a result of eri becoming the main caretaker, the kits will also likely see or hear about gloamingveil (@quixty_) much more often! most if not all of the kits are expected to leave the florist shop by 15-20 moons and be "adopted out" to their own loving owner and home. under certain circumstances, i’d be happy to allow one kit who’s particularly close with riri to stay with him for longer. feel free to arrange and make plans just as creative as fen and i have done with the florist shop, and you are highly encouraged to have sets of the siblings adopted out together, just like what fen and i did for forest and cherry blossom! <3 the first of forest's many gifts to the kits in their lifetime are a set of flowers for each of them. you are free to have the kits wear them differently than how we've described it. occasionally, i’ll message you all if i think orie would have brought something new back for them! <3 ⭒ glade ~ purple asters sprinkled over his back. ⭒ eddy ~ goldenrod braided into his chest fur. ⭒ marsh ~ blue orchids adorning the base of his tail and in front of his right ear. ⭒ briar ~ white and pink cinderella roses braided into her tail and tucked behind each ear. as well, riri herself and their owner, avery, will be giving the kits each a white ribbon, much like the ones riri wears. you can also choose where this goes! like i said, no finding roleplay for this litter! however, if you scroll down, i'll have a separate thread for cherry blossom giving each kit their flowers and ribbons, a small token of love from their father before he left and their uncle as well. it is expected that forest did say goodbye to the kits and explained everything, just so they don't hold too much ill will to him. the gifts were just left with cheeri for a later date. <3 and whew, that was a lot! please refrain from typing in the roleplay threads until i’ve written a starter for yours, and feel free to ask questions about anything! i’m not as coherent of an explainer as fen, unfortunately. thank you for reading and coming along on this rollercoaster, i'll do my best to give these kits the family and childhood they deserve even with the sudden changes! .⭒ ˚₊‧
