For example, it can help you get your emotions out and say things you have bottled up instead of causing a problem with someone. It can also help you talk to those you love if you write down exactly what bothers you/what change you need to see in your relationship. Sometimes I even write a fake letter in which I just yell at someone specifically, and then I throw it away after.
