So I have been working on it for some months now- though, the majority of that time was spent doing anything other than graphics (mostly just trying to figure out settings and classes and items and etc etc etc all the system stuff that's tedious XD, still haven't fully finished the classes yet though.) Also, I've been trying to get better at composing because while I can play piano, I cannot compose for the life of me ;-;. Any tips would be greatly appreciated lol #1: Main menu screen!! Yay!! Credit for the background art goes to one of my close irl friends, I commissioned her for it and she made some absolutely great stuff! She's an amazing artist. #2: The current testing room. I'm trying to work on making tilesets and the character spritesheets, which I've been putting off for ages. The random default NPC is there for dialogue purposes. This room lacks lighting, because it's not. like. gonna be in the game. so it doesn't need it lol. I also switched out the other sprite for a placeholder since I was planning on redrawing it in a different style. I'm not a huge fan of the default RPGmaker style for walking sprites looking like actual children, which is why I'm remaking it. #3: Dialogue boxes!! I spent so freaking long trying to get the color right because it kept looking like a light lavender, but, now, I've corrected the issue! Also the portrait of the main character (Rory) took me a while as well, yay. Now to draw like 20+ more lol. This is all I got for now! I would have kept the maps I had earlier in my last update, however, I really wanted to use my own assets. This will take a while, but.. y'know.. . ⋆⁺₊❅. creativity ⋆⁺₊❅. lol Oh also it has a name now- Idk if i mentioned it last time that was a while ago- And while the graphics look kinda crap rn, I'm going to improve them shortly and I will post another update when that's done. And hopefully that won't be another 7 months-
