People online throwing around the words “I love you/ily” isn’t taking away value from love. It’s just that we live in a time where there isn’t much love, and whatever is there doesn’t always stay. So we just have to overcompensate for that by changing the definition of “I love you,” from something that lasts forever and is special, to something that you give away and spread without a second thought. And anyways, if you love someone so much, “I love you” won’t be your promise to them ___________________________________________________ I think the real-est part of any religion is the practitioners' belief in whatever the religion preaches. So if you believe god exists, or that several gods exist, or that none do, or anything really, then they/it DOES exist--but only within your worldview. If you believe, then for you, your interpretation/belief IS real. Only to you though. And I think it's kinda inconsiderate to push your worldview onto someone else's. You're all correct in matters concerning immortal/mythological/etc, but only to you, and you can't just say someone else is wrong. It's an open ended question, y'all ___________________________________________________ Sometimes I pray or leave offerings just so that if there IS something/someone there, they won't be bored or alone and honestly that's valid. There's a whole lot of emptiness and mystery in the world, and if I/anyone wants to ask a favor, or a question, or leave a thought, or a gift for that big mysterious unknown-ness, then that's ok. It's kinda just praying to the universe, and trusting that you're being heard somewhere ___________________________________________________ I think humans struggle with simplicity, and the idea that you've discovered all there was. One time, I painted a fantasy landscape, and then painted a bright, orange fish that looked like an oval and then a triangle. That kind of fish. The initial response was, "surrealism," "metaphor," etc. That kind of stuff. I proceeded to paint in the same orange, "not a metaphor, just a fish," over the painting, and it kinda made my art teacher dissatisfied in a way. Not angry, or disappointed, just a little bit disgruntled. It's human nature to question things, so it makes a lot of sense that things that allow for NO big, open-ended questions would be annoying to people. It is literally not about the destination, but the journey. We want to learn things more than we want to know things. ___________________________________________________ yeah thats it ___________________________________________________ 2:10 PM deep conversations y'know
