Walking through Hogwarts Great Hall wasn't easy anymore. I would walk by like any other student without bunches of eyes staring right at me. It's different now. And I know why. " I don't know what the big fuss is about." Arina said by my side as we were walking through the hall. " You're just a fire goddess!" Avery added. " I mean, it's not like you're going to shoot a magic fireball at anyone who is mean!" " Well, they think otherwise!" I said pointing at Juliette's snobby group. She hasn't bullied me ONCE this week. Sure, maybe she had a change of heart at the dance when she stood up for me, but I'm not betting on it. All of them cringed when I leaned forward to sneeze. " I just wish they would treat me normally!" I said frustrated. Avery sighed while Arina nodded sadly. The crowds started to get closer. Some stepped in front of me, others on the side. Basically, Avery, Me, and Arina were surrounded by crowds from all directions. " Amelia, how do you control your fire powers?" A girl in front of me asked. I flushed and tried to cover my face. " I-I uh..." I quietly muttered. The crowds were closing in; fast, with questions I didn't want to answer. I grabbed my wand out of my pocket. " Hang on!" I said to Arina and Avery. We linked arms as I yelled, "Apparition!" A magic blast of light landed us in my dorm sitting on my bed. " Well one thing's for sure," Arina said. " They're more curious than they are scared!" We laughed at her joke. I noticed Emily sitting on her bed with her book clenched to her chest. " Sorry Emily!" I said as I sat up and walked towards her. She smiled. " That's ok. I probably would've missed class if I'd kept reading." She said as she checked the time on her watch and grabbed her stuff. " Catch you later!" She said as she zipped out of the door. " We'd better get to class too!" Avery said. " Without mobs of adoring/screaming fans!" Arina joked. We all laughed as we walked out of my dorm. I liked the way it was before everyone knew my secret. but maybe I can adapt to my new attention. Just maybe.
