❖ | Hello! Welcome to the official account for Out Of Your Depth, a project created by @Featherstalled and @pjsv . We will be releasing character logs and trailers, but the main focus is a horror/mystery game blend of FNAF and Subnautica that will release eventually. (no release date yet- xochi can NOT focus for more than a day) ❖ | Planned games by @Featherstalled Tower Defense (still uncertain) Roguelite (going to happen sometime this year if I force myself to do it) Visual Novel (might happen) Text Adventure (might happen) ❖ | In Out of your Depth, you are a new researcher tasked with reclaiming important research and documents from an abandoned underwater lab, while keeping the four divers who accompany you alive. This lab is thousands of feet underground, in the Arcanis trench. The lowermost lab was crushed by pressure and the strange seismic activity from the bottom of the trench. The top four are abandoned, having been infected through air vents by a lethal gas from a failed experiment in Lab 5. This gas, created from the DNA of many marine animals (some unique to Arcanis, like the Nekrey- small catlike fish- and the Abytherons- leech- or eel-like creatures that can grow hundreds of kilometers long) in hopes of using it to help humans, instead either k1lls or infects the host body with animalistic features and instincts. The survival rate is so low that out of the nearly 400 people infected, only five survived- Coral, the scientist who created the gas; Seraph, the head researcher of Lab 5; Iris, Seraph's assistant and fiancé; Radia, an intern scientist; and Alice, a hazmat worker who was sent in to assist Lab 4 but ended up getting infected herself. Another side effect of this transformation, (along with the strange mutations) is foggy, hazy or even nonexistent memories of your life before. This led them all to create new names for themselves, based on what they remembered. Coral to Coyrin, Seraph to Sekwyn (due to Iris's pet name for her, "sequin"), Iris to Iracle, Radia to Radillation, and Alice to Acress. There is one more monster to worry about. The daughter of a rich man, was kidnapp3d for ransom and later k1lled because her father failed to meet her keeper's demands. She was dr0wned in Arcanis, and her body, which was weighed down by large metal chains on her ankles, slowly floated to the bottom. Curious Abytheron had just started to nibble on her toes and fingers when an air tube from Lab 5 ruptured and released cloud of the poisonous gas. Ika Tako--or, Krakyn, was reanimated when her skin absorbed it, with no memories from her previous life and very, VERY hungry. ❖ | Acress Can take down cams, resides in her own lab above yours. Three beaks, will snap them rapidly if she gets annoyed or stressed. Deep hatred to everyone in the lower lab (Iracle, Sekwyn, Coyrin, and Radillation) for turning her into this monster. Can disconnect the sound, communication, and/or video of any cams for up to 45 seconds. (15 second cooldown in between each cam) Types really fast because of her 6 arms. ❖ | Krakyn Supposedly d3ad, but reanimated by the same chemicals that converted everyone else into monsters, she's chained to the ocean floor but will send squids and Abytherons after the divers in an attempt to lure them within earshot. She sings (or moans/wails) like a siren to attract them closer, and then k1lls them. The only way to stop her is to shut off the diver's sound as soon as you hear her calling. ❖ | Coyrin He struggles with moving around, since he literally has no legs. He lunges at you from the overhead vent because you can't see him up there. He hangs around the science lab, and his favorite food is saltine crackers. He crawls around the vents, and hates being on camera, so watching him probably will make him more aggro. Probably. ❖ | Sekwyn She comes at you from either your back door or the vent beneath your desk. She is in love with Iracle, loves to hang out near her cave/lab, and eats marshmallows. Raw. She stalks through the building, and will stare into the cameras. By extension, she also stares into the dark, empty void of your soul through your cameras. ❖ | Iracle Her vision is either super perfect or super bad, so she hides because of her eyes. She's in love with Sekwyn. Oh, and if you let a diver di3, just accept the inevitable. Your doors will not stop her. Her lure has 20/10 vision with nightvision and can see heat signatures, her face eyes have 20/50 vision and aren't special, and her limb eyes have 20/60 vision and can see heat signatures. ❖ | Radilation She is just liquid. Liquid in solid form. She likes to play with the generators and can occasionally shut off your power. She likes to play Splatoon; yes, she has all the games. She shuts off your power at random intervals, because of her memory (which is mildly okay)
