Omg 6 views already?? Comment below if you want chapter two!! Hey everyone this is the book I'm currently writing! Autumn J. Silver is just my pen name, not my real name. I hope you like it!! Preface “Cloud,” My mother chirped. “Open your eyes little one.” That was the first moment I saw her, my mom. I grinned; I could already feel sharp teeth poking at my gums. My bottom lip stuck out in a pout and I started wailing. Mother picked me up and rocked me to sleep. The last thing I thought was that my mother would always be there for me. But always is not the same as forever.
Chapter One Sgninigeb My name is Cloud. My story began in the Reighning Islands, where everyone has magic, except for High Magic Tornado. You are born with one or the other, it is never heard of that you have both. The two types are physical (born with magical qualities like horns, wings, claws, ext) and mental (Classic magic like casting spells, potions, ext). I was born with signs of physical magic, horn stubs and small, black, feathery, raven wings. My fingers were longer than normal and pointed, they turned to deep black at my fingertips. As I grew older, it was clear I had physical magic. I had tall tree branch-like black horns and large black raven wings. My fingers had lengthened and pointed, turning black at the ends. I especially thought my wings were cool; I loved to fly, and I learned how even before I learned to before I could even talk. But when I turned seven, I told my parents there was a “blue glitter around my fingers”. It was mental magic. My parents were horrified; they both had physical magic, so how did their daughter get both? They told me never to show anyone my sparkles, no matter how pretty they are; so I hid. I asked “why” around a million times, but they only replied, “People won't like your glitter.” At school, I found that a lot of people like glitter. Almost half the school had it! So, why couldn't I? A few years later I asked again, this time I was 14. They finally told me the truth. “The High Magic doesn’t like people with both types of magic.” Mother said. “And they will, um, get rid of anyone who has both.” My father said uneasily. It finally hit me. If they found out I had both types of magic, I would die. My dark eyes filled with tears, and without wiping them flew to my attic room. This is why they hid me all these years, I thought, with a tiny speck of love. They were just worried about me. But a small part in the back of my mind whispered. I could barely hear it, but its voice rang clear like a bell. Or, it said, they are worried for themselves. My tears stopped and the thought consumed my mind. Aren't you wondering what happens to the parents of “The Both Types”? It called. “The Both Types”? I asked my own thoughts. Yes, it hissed, that is what you are called. Then I realized, this wasn’t me who was thinking those thoughts, but I played dumb. That's what we are called. I corrected the voice that was not mine. It laughed, it sounded as if it had caught in their throat and came up forcefully. Yes, but we are not the same, now who also would be a Both Type? I froze. What do I say, and who was this? Who are you? I said, my thoughts caught like I was crying. Then I remembered I was, and tears were streaming down my face. I quickly wiped them off. You should know, but you do not. Who do you think I am? Who do you know that would have magic this powerful to reach inside of your mind? “No one,” I whispered aloud to myself, but in my head I told the voice, only the High Magics are, but if they knew I would already be dead. The voice inside my head gave a chuckle. Really? they said. Why ever would you think that? I froze. What? I thought. Who are you? I demanded. It gave another chuckle, a deep throaty one that sounded like a choke. Well hello young one, they said, my name is Frost. The only High Magic that's a Both Type.
