Nari Kim. What an odd girl. She drifts alone on an island she alone created, longing for company, but pushing away any others who attempt to near her lonely heart. She yearns to feel the warm comfort of another’s embrace, yet the girl flinches in fear, whenever she is reached towards, whenever she is touched. What a tragedy, truly. The girl who had so much love to give, but so little trust in others after they splintered her soul and shattered her spirit and struck her down into an endless pit of despair, falling and falling and falling in never ending darkness. She has turned herself to ice, a cold fire that burns anyone too close, to protect herself. She cannot let her guard down. How curious indeed. How curious it is that the child is by nature a joyful and loving soul, yet by nurture a soulless void, a shell of the sun after shadow swallowed the light. How curious indeed, the oddity that is the girl who is trapped by her own choices and fears, a butterfly with its wings pinned to a board, not dead, but certainly not alive.
