At first choose your mode, (variables Lives and Powerups do not tell if one has infinite amount, see badges for that information). Then press start. After the field has finished generating, reveal the lighter tiles in the centre as they are always safe. If the tile is empty, no mines are nearby, otherwise the number is the sum of nearby mines (-1 for Negative, 1 for Regular, 2 for Double). Change modes in the upper-right corner. Here are two power ups, which one is recommended to use limited amount, indicated by a hexagon on the left, as otherwise lives will be used, also they MUST BE USED ON A CORRECTLY PLACED FLAG, otherwise a life lost: The Seer reveals all tiles around and The Link reveals all same type Mines around in a larger radius. The game is lost if one has no lives, and won if all safe tiles are revealed.
Also check out the hexagonal version: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1117536081/ I did the triangular version, as I realised that it is much better than the hexagonal one, because here is a far larger probability of the problem being solvable without power ups or loss of lives and allows room for some complex tricks. Feel free to remix and use ideas. Please write if you see any bugs. My favourites here are classic and unusual.
