https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1115583162/remixtree ^ original project remixtree text ver. 1. Hello! I’m Ember, I use they/them (or any pronouns)k and March ‘25 will be my 8th(?) session! My timezone is PT (Pacific), and a fun fact about me is that I’m left-handed! <3 2. In the past, I have co-led several times, such as in Scratch Music Camp (I think I was pretty inactive, I can’t remember….) and Scratch Reading Camp! (Scroll for old accounts.) October 2024 was my first big leading opportunity, with Scratch Art Camp (I led Tempera!). I will be leading a lodge again this February. I have not (co)led an SWC cabin before. 3. My cabin preferences, which are in no particular order, include Mystery, Steampunk, and Tragedy. Mystery: Leader and Co are detectives, campers are witnesses… Crime-solving stuff :p Steampunk: Abandoned factory that two missing inventors are living in :3 Tragedy: All good stories come to an end. Two famous authors are (claimed to be long gone, to put it shortly), but their fans believe their unpublished books have clues as to where they are. I am leaning towards not wanting to lead TCTWNW if it is coming back. 4. I honestly didn’t know how to react when I heard the news. Missing? Gone? It was impossible, Leo never went missing like this without warning. If I had to LITERALLY go through Hell and back, maybe even ask the Gods, I would. I don’t believe it would be possible, but I have to stay optimistic for him. I’ll make sure he’s safe, and I’ll make sure /I/ stay safe too. One thing is for sure, though… I would do anything and everything to make sure he’s unharmed. 5. I expect to dedicate at least four to six hours a week to SWC on weekdays, a little bit more on weekends. For now, I have no plans that could affect my activity levels. 6. I am, to put it simply, not the best at managing my time. It’s all over the place, honestly. I do have a planner for the week, which I use to help me plan when to do my schoolwork. Goal setting is one of the many skills in time management, and I believe I set achievable goals for myself. I do struggle with procrastination and focusing on stuff (I am working in both, though), but it’s definitely difficult to overcome. 7. I’d say I work pretty well in collaborative settings online. I believe an asset that is beneficial to a leading team is creativity and an equal workload so that everyone can be involved. Communication plays a huge role, which correlates with positive/constructive feedback from the person or people you’re working with on how you can improve. It’s not a bad thing. As I mentioned previously, time management is something I’m attempting to get better at. It’s not my strong point. I’m also not experienced with (co)leading an SWC cabin, so I’m not too sure how it works. 8. As mentioned in the previous slide, creativity! I view myself as a creative person, and I believe this is the trait I embody. I believe I apply this to leadership pretty well already, with several ideas in mind for new cabins (or things in general) that come naturally to me. I also believe it’s beneficial to have creativity in a bigger place outside of just a cabin, like with the leadership team. Creating daily and weekly ideas that haven’t been seen before. Maybe even word war prompts (I know these rotate pretty often throughout the session), or cabin war extra challenges (I’d love to see new ones!). 9. I aim to create an atmosphere that is centered around personal writing goals while still maintaining that competitive aspect. (125 characters) 10. I will be available to help add points in the main cabin consistently. I am also willing to share a promotional project for SWC. I believe I can fulfill all of the responsibilities of z (co)leader listed in the FAQ. I will contact a host if I or my (co)leader plan to be/are inactive. With the other individual’s word count group in mind, I will make a separate studio for them to continue adding their words (to ensure that they all get transferred over), and will switch back and forth between the two consistently instead of merging them into one. old accounts /
