Q4: Do you have a favourite author? If so, who? A: I love many: Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, Shannon Messenger, Suzanne Collins, Jude Watson, Gordan Korman, Kate Milford, Veronica Roth, to name a few. Q5: Do you want to be a writer when you're older? A: Heck yeah! Q6: Do you have any advice for writers? If so, what is it? A: Don't stop when you hit a writing wall. If you believe in the story, if you believe in the characters, keep writing. Q7: When it comes to writing, are you a perfectionist? A: Oh yeah... it's actually kind of a problem. Q8: Have you shared a story on Scratch before? A: Several. I always get scared when I do. I want people to like my worlds. Q9: What's your favourite plot structure? (7 point plot structure, hero's journey plot structure, etc) A: Don't really know. I guess hero's journey? I really just start writing and see how it goes. Q10: What's your inspiration? A: My life. My fears. Books and movies I love. Music. People. Art. So many things. Q11: Do you like making graphic novels/comics? A: I would if I could draw. XD Q12: Poetry, or story writing? A: Story writing mainly. If it's poetry, typically free verse or with a simple rhyme scheme. Q13: Fiction or non-fiction? A: Fiction. Q14: What's your favourite book/series? A: Again, I have a lot. Currently obsessed with Powerless/Reckless. I love the 39 Clues, Hunger Games, Divergent, Keeper of the Lost Cities, Harry Potter, etc. Q15: Do you believe in writers block? A: Dude- yes. Q16: What about reader's block? A: Also, yes. But for me, that's solved by DRASTICALLY switching up what genre I'm reading. Q17: Do you like putting references in your stories? (references to other books, a movie, songs, etc) A: If I can, it's so there. XD Q18: Do you like writing chapter books? A: Heck yes I do. Q19: Realistic fiction or unrealistic fiction? A: Either or. Again, depends on the situation. Q22: Writing in a notebook or writing on google docs? A: Notebook/Microsoft Word. Q23: What do you think is the best thing for someone to do when they get writers block? A: Easy. Scitozophrenia. I'm kidding. I'm a theater kid, so it really helps me to act like my characters and see how the story roles. Q24: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? A: Sixth grade. Q25: Do you have a lot of OCs? A: So many I forget about some. Q26: Do you have a lot of stories you are writing? A: Kinda yeah. Q27: What's the most difficult part of planning a story? A: How to get from the start to the end. Q28: Do you do journaling? A: Occasionally. Q29: Do you write in one specific way/theme, or lots of different ways/themes? e.g. fantasy, third person, non-fiction, first person, second person, fiction, etc A: I try to spread my wings. If I'm writing with constrictions, I tend to revert back to what I know so I have a solid base. Q30: Do you find it hard to write the first chapter/ prologue? A: No. The beginning is what's easy. It's the middle that's hard. Q31: Have you drawn your characters before? A: I try to. But again, not a great artist. Q32: Have you roleplayed with your characters before? A: Several/most of them. Q33: Do you think you take way too long planning what to write instead of actually writing? A: I probably don't take enough time planning. XD Q34: What's your favourite part when editing? A: Laughing at dumb mistakes or things I forgot I wrote. Sometimes I surprise myself with my talent. I don't give myself enough credit sometimes. Q35: What's your least favourite part when editing? A: It's so tedious some times. Q36: How long have you been writing? A: 10 years. Q37: Have you tried writing in a new way before? A: Yeah. I like stretching my limits. Q38: What, in your opinion, is the most fun theme to write about? (not genre. A theme is like war, coming of age, good vs evil, family, etc) A: I guess good vs. evil. Q39: Have you written characters with sad backstories? A: It's not a good character without some trauma, lol. Most of them do.
Q40: Have you ever written yourself in a story? A: All the time. Q41: Do you usually unintentionally make a side character more interesting than a main character? A: Not to my knowledge. Need to get better before I do, though. Q44: What's your favourite things to put in stories? (things you personally find entertaining to read/write) A: Stupid jokes. Sarcasm.
