Oh my gosh i genuinely cant explain HOW ANNOYED this makes me. UGH I've seen so many people going "oh this thing is bad because everyone that likes it is a fifteen year old girl. especially when it comes to being a fan of content creators, musicians, fandoms, etc. as if having a fanbase that's primarily girls is a problem?? Like, can teenage girls not have interests?? Can they not just like something because they enjoy it without being criticized?? (im a guy but it still makes me so mad - i cant even use the words i want to here, on scratch) i get having a diverse fanbase is a good thing, but like, nobody says anything when teenage boys have interests? somehow, that just by BEING A TEENAGE GIRL WITH INTERESTS AUTOMATICALLY MAKES YOU... idk?? annoying? a problem? stupid? i genuinely don't know just like, don't judge people for liking stuff?? THIS ALSO APPLIES to fanbases that are made up mostly of queer/ND/other similar groups ugh like guys can like a band and thats cool or whatever but when a girl likes him shes annoying and clearly has a crush on one of the band members and is ruining the fanbase is it not okay to love something if youre a girl? please add your thoughts but keep them polite
sorry if any of this was explained weird, im kinda crap at explaining my thoughts very well (also per usual with my rants, these are 100% made up of my own opinions, thoughts, and experiences, which means that none of it is absolute fact, just how i feel on a subject. if its something more serous, then ill usually do proper research and think things through more thoroughly before writing my opinion)
