How Astro twisted || Moonbloom Astro's backstory

(It's a lot of reading but yea. Warning: mention of death) Soo this is my Dandy's World Au, Astro's backstory! The name of my au is Moonbloom! I feel like this au is mostly wrapped around Dandy and Astro but its fine lolz. Present day Astro is twisted btw. So onto Astro's backstory! Astro was like any other normal toon in Gardenview. Astro wasn't much for fame and attention, unlike the other toons. So Astro enjoyed his days without attention from anyone and usually liked spending his time in the toon rooms or his room, it wasn't overpopulated there. Meanwhile, the other toons were usually in the main room talking or playing with the children. Astro rarely makes his appearance there, so he was mostly forgotten or unspoken about among the kids. Other than that, Astro likes reading, sleeping, or doing any other independent activities in his room (or toon rooms) with a nice cup of passion flower tea. Mr. Greedster was the owner of Gardenview (at the time, Greedster was a money toon). He was in charge of pretty much everything in Gardenview. However, he didn't like that Astro wasn't with the kids in the main room like the other toons, making him profit. He thought Astro was a waste of space. So he planned to get rid of him by gaining Astro's trust over time. At this time, Greedster was also experimenting with different kinds of substances behind the company's/toon's back. He came up with this substance, "ichor". (This ichor was very toxic, this type of ichor, once consumed, will cause sharp and extremely painful aches throughout the body. Once the ichor is consumed it stays within the vessel forever). Greedster came into Astro's room one day with his favorite tea (passion flower tea) and gave it to him. Astro drank the tea (Greedster put some of the ichor in the tea to "get rid of him") and later locked him in his room. Soon enough, Astro suffered extreme pain from the effect for a while. He attempted to break out of his room and reach out for help, there was no response of course. He then turned into a twisted (permanently) and got kicked out of Gardenview by Greedster, him thinking that Astro would sooner or later d!e alone outside of Gardenview. Months passed and Astro stayed in the back of the Gardenview building. At this time now, Greedster got fired, was never heard about again, and Gardenview shut down. All the other toons stayed inside of Gardenview however, they all stayed near the toon rooms and never went back to the main area/room. Sooner or later, Dandy showed up to Gardenview. He was fascinated by the building and dreamed of running a business like this. As Dandy was exploring the outside area of the building, he met Astro. This is where their relationship began. Dandy was startled by Astro’s presence at first, but later warmed up to him. Astro didn’t trust anyone anymore, so it took a while for him to warm up to Dandy. (As a twisted, Astro’s appearance, height, and personality changed). Dandy offered to help Astro, but Astro of course declined it due to trust issues. So Dandy let him be. He later then explored the inside of Gardenview and found the other toons inside the toon rooms. He then decided what to do. He purchased the building and was the new owner of Gardenview. All the other toons were happy to now have a new owner. At this time, Dandy continued to visit Astro who was still living in the back of the building, and brought him food, water and new clothes for him to choose. It was not long before Astro warmed up to Dandy and decided to go with Dandy inside of Gardenview. He could feel that Dandy was no threat to him and just wanted to help him. Days passed, Astro and Dandy bonded more and were more open to each other, Astro had the courage to tell Dandy the story of Gardenview and how he became twisted. Sooner or later, Dandy took Astro to reunite with the other toons, they were of course startled by his presence. But it wasn’t long before they recognized it was Astro. While these days passed, with the help of all the toons, they cleaned up Gardenview looking like new. Dandy opened up the place for business once it was finished and the children started coming back. One day, Dandy came out to Astro about his feelings for him (MOONFLOWER IS CANON IN MY AU BAHAHAHA), Astro also came out with his feelings for Dandy and are now a couple. Dandy (owner) and Astro (co-owner) both work alongside each other. Thats all now! :D Tysm for reading! <3
