[Section 0: controls] Press space to see the map, press the up arrow to hide it [Section 1: about me] Hi! I'm Lili-in-the-valley, and you can call me Lili. Any pronouns work. [Section 2: Faction and rank names] The faction name which I totally did not forget (I did) is called Faction of the Air/Airfaction There are 10 ranks in the faction, and a few subranks too. When the cats are born, they are assigned the role of Breeze. Breezes are equal to kits, and stay that way until six moons or more if they get into trouble. When they reach six moons of age, they are called Gusts, and the Breeze gets to choose their path: Wind seeker (messenger), Storm chaser (warrior) or Tempests (Medicine cats). There are always 3 Tempests, and when one dies the Breeze's becoming Gusts are expected to settle who will become the next Tempest fairly and for the best of the faction. There are always five Wind Seekers, and they are found mostly off in the woods, scouting, spying and passing messages. Each Wind Seeker will have a post, and they must go there at least once a day to check that everything is safe. The Storm Chasers are pretty much like warriors, except that they are specialized in certain things (I.e. climbing trees) and all help teach the Gusts, though Wind Seekers and Tempests follow traditional training mentors. Tempests can have kits, and must heal everyone, no matter who they are. If they refuse, it can be cause for demotion. Their apprentices learn the art of wind tracing, which helps them predict weather. They may retire or may work until death. After becoming one of the three roles, there are a few things that may happen. Regardless of role, any cat may become a Cyclone Keeper (queen), who helps raise Gusts. The gender does not matter, as long as you have good skills, and while it is mostly parents watching over their kids, some cats are always that role. Also regardless of role, you can become a Windsoother (deputy). They oversee all aspects of life, and are second in command only to the leader. If they suspect the leader is evil, they can get 5 Storm Chasers, two Wind Seekers, one Tempest and one Cyclone Keeper and can overthrow the leader. They inherit being leader when the leader dies or retires, and is appointed by the leader. There is also the role of Final Breather (Elder). They do not have much power, but live in ease and sometimes help raise Gusts. The leader is simply known as the leader, or by their name. The suffix is -gale, so one named Northdawn would be changed to Northgale. The leader has the final say on everything, and is respected from the smallest Gale to the oldest Final Breather. The cats will be named after things such as -winds (Zephyr, Gust, ect) -Directions (North, South, ect) (If they are allowed to know about those lol) -Feelings/attributes (Wit, Joy, ect) -Weather (Snow, warm, ect) -Family names (Ex all prefixes relate to deer; Stag, Doe, ect) And other things, too. [Section 3: How it is unique] They are unique because this faction is known for their smarts, knowing skills to help master the place they live in. They are also known for taking stray Gusts in, which is a highly debated topic in the clan. More so, they have an interesting belief system, but that will be explained more soon. [Section 4: Most common dinosaur traits] These cats are based on Diplodocus, and have long tails, stocky legs and may also have thinner and more flexible necks. [Section 5: Location] If you click space, you can see the map. The places circled show where they would most likely live, with the circle on the bottom the optimal spot. [Section 6: Other] I have a half-baked concept of a mythology they have, which is that long ago, their first leader Gale fought with the winds to win control over their land. Also, this faction will have a strict routine, every morning waking up at the same time, then eating, training and so on. If you miss the routine, you may be punished by eating last. [More in n+c]
[Section 7: What role will I take] I will be the leader of the faction, since I am in many other rps and believe I can manage the work. [Section 8: Leader] The leader is Feathergale. Feathergale is 36 moons old, young for a leader, and uses she/her. She is known as the One Who Sees All, because if you commit a crime, she'll know. If she acts on that knowledge depends, but she is always aware, told by the Wind Seekers. Feathergale is cold, not showing much emotion and always doing what she thinks is best. Still, Feathergale cares about her faction, and would die to save it. She is small for her type, about 11 inches, and has pale short green fur. Feathergale has a scarred ear from a battle long ago. [Section 9: How it is lead] The leader has the final say on everything, but is advised by the Windsoother and Wind Seekers especially. Who has the second most power changes from leader to leader, but it is almost always the Windsoother. When there are large disputes, the leader goes to the Weaving Winds, a clearing where the trees are sparse and allow wind (the spirits of Stc) to go in, and then the leader meditates in hopes of being visited by Stc, if that doesn't work then they'll have a meeting and vote. [Section 10: Belief system] The faction believes in Starclan, but thinks of them similar to ghosts. They live in an paradise far away, but can come to the faction as spirits and do often. They think that every burst of wind is a cat coming to visit them, and every storm a battle going on in Starclan. They are very strict in this belief, too, and think that if you don't thank them at the right time or have the right funeral, they will think that when you die you simply vanish instead. When you become a leader, you must swear loyalty to Stc. In addition to worshiping Starclan, they also believe those flying not-exactly dinosaur bird things that I can't spell are reincarnations of the greatest cats, and are watching over them. [Section 11: Other cats on the territory] This clan will allow other cats on the territory only if they are escorted by two or more fully grown cats for every one cat, and groups more than 6 are chased off immediately. They do have some loners who come often and are welcomed, but only a few. If the cats continue to trespass they will be attacked by twice the amount of cats that are trespassing. [End]
