The final battle I saw somebody saying that it was unrealistic that Cyn lost the final battle, so here's my thoughts nobody asked for! 1: Pride. If Cyn lost the battle, it was 100% becaseof pride. She was confident- too confident. I'm not saying she didn't deserve to be- she could and had destroyed planets. Three little drones- even if they're two disassembly drones and an absolute solver- stood no realistic chance. The final battle didn't take place for a need to fight- it was arrogance- and enjoyment. Cyn was smiling the whole fight. It was fun for her. She wasn't killed because she couldn't win- rather that Uzi caught her off guard. Cyn knew she could when whenever she wanted- but she didn't because it was fun for her. And that was her fatal error. Cyn fricked ripped Uzi's core out in the first SECOUNDS of the battle. She could have won then- she had time to destroy it. In fact, all of the protagonists were at her mercy at some point in time. She kept the battle going because she loved it. At EVERY point she was smiling to some degree. 2. Cyn won. I'm sure you've all heard the theory- and its a pretty good one- Lmk if you don't know it I'll yap for ya haha The ending I agree its a tad anticlimactic- I personally would have enjoyed an ending where eating Cyn's core came with more sacrifice- perhaps even the death of a certain protagonist? Don't get me wrong I love Uzi, and if she died I would have officially only have favorite characters that are dead/have died, but IDK I think it would be more powerful
J's excuse Let's get this straight- J is no saint. But I think she's overestimated in jerk-ness. I'm going to work to explain why I think so. 1: A common argument is that she's a jerk because she was mean to N even at the manor. Have you- have you ever seen sibling/a sibling dynamic? It gave me bullying older sister vibes, not malice or jerkyness. This ones mostly an opinion but I feel like people over look this to even consider. 2: She k!lled people. This is, of course, objectively morally wrong, but if she's a jerk for that then so are (Uzi, N, V, Doll (who is a secondary villain but still), Cyn (The actual villain but everyone loves her), Alice, Khan, Nori, most likely Yeva,...) Almost every character k!lled. 3: Sided with Cyn- this is the main arguement. But can ou seriously tell me that if an eldritch horror was standing in front of you that you had SEEN cause destruction and had no doubt could kill you and everythin you cared about- you'd just be like "Nah bro I think I'll fight again u if that's chill with u" No way. J was stuck. J felt she had absolutely no hope. 3.2: Also on that note- J obeyed authority figures- always. In episode 5, J's best friend Tessa asked for help and J's reply was "Sorry boss, corporate has spoken" That's her friend- its evident she cares about her. But her priority was listening to authority- and if she believed Cyn was authority, she would follow Cyn, no matter how awful she was. 4: Tried to get V to switch sides. This one is pretty straightforward, and I think on some level it showed at least a bit of care for her- genuine care I really have trouble believing J is as one-dimensional as she seems. All the main protagonists and antagonist had 3d backstories, at least to some degree. I believe there's more to J- no, there IS more to J. I believe even that some of her jerkyness could be based on the fact that she seemed to be closest to Tessa- and that girl definitely had some trauma going on.
