press the calculate button and then put in the number you want to calculate. The x variable shows the number and the calculations show how many times the formula has been run. This project was inspired by a cool math equation I found, the Collatz Conjecture. It was formulated in 1937 by Lothar Collatz, a German mathematician. The formula goes like this, if the number is odd, times it by 1, but if the number is even, divide it by 2. Do this with the new number you created and repeat. The theory states that no matter what, if you do the calculations enough times, the number will always end up as 1. No one has been able to prove that this theory is true, but no one has been able to find a number that does not end up as 1. I first found out about this from a cool video by Veritasium, I highly recommend you check it out. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=094y1Z2wpJg&t=318s
