This is all my opinion okay Can I just say something, The way to try to be “apart” of the art community on here is absolute the worst of the worst I ain’t even gonna lie or deny it, like there are tons of beginner artists and artists (like me) who do art cause they enjoy it on here and we get FORGOTTEN, the most our art ever gets is like 34 views and that actually means a lot (thank you to whoever made my day be looking at my art). And literally everyone is so obsessed with clout bro. Also, if you open a dmc or art collab since why not and if you don’t have connections with a popular artist on here, no one will care, literally. For example I opened a hsr different fandom art collab since I thought it’d be fun but I advertised it in places that the popular artists say to put invites if they allowed it and I completely got GHOSTED. So someone typed in a comment after me and the artist said they’ll think about joining and it’s like “did they take one look at my comment and went ‘nope’” It’s like even if you do get apart of a art collab, if there’s a studio to put the art so the person can keep track of it, once you finish and say that the art can be put in, it never does, as if you never joined. And it’s like if you have used picrew to plan out a beta design of an OC and state that you used picrew to make a beta design, artists on here lose their mind saying like “YOU USE PICREW????” It’ different if you use it for beta design and if you use it as your “art” Also cancel culture on here is insane. One more thing, if you join a dmc and work really hard on your entry, the artist just completely ignores you and just move on to the next person without ever at least leaving a comment saying “Thank you for joining! It looks great :)”. Like that comment can make someone’s day. And my pet peeve is when they’re like “Thank you to everyone who joined!”, yeah right, what about like 10 of the artists who love your art and joined your dmc because they like your art and you as an artist then you’re like “Nah, this art is too bad to look at” Also kudos to those few NICE artists who look at everyone’s dmc and leave nice comments
One more thing, if the artist say they’ll take requests or art trades to draw your oc and you’re like “Heck yeah!” and submit your oc, then they’ll completely ghost you. And the comment above is getting responded to and you’re like “tf I just wanted to see my oc in your style and possibly draw one of your ocs in my style.” This happened to me one time on this acc since apparently I need to post only art or smth????? (Or maybe they hate genshin ocs)
