Overview The main part of the Warrior Cats community is roleplaying. Some are realistic, like TFSWCRP, or fantasy, like TSS [link]. Role-plays allow for anyone to make or apply for unique characters to claim as their own. Whether you start out as a playful kit, curious apprentice, brave warrior, caring queen, or wise elder, is entirely up to you! However, most role-plays require you to apply or audition for high rank roles, such as medicine cat, MDA [medicine cat apprentice], deputy, or leader. In surrealistic + realistic role-plays, you can also be a dainty kittypet [housecat], recluse loner, or vicious rouge! This guide will cover the basic standards and procedures to begin your roleplaying journey. Basics Based on past experience, a lot of people who are just getting into roleplaying may have read a few or many of the Warriors series, but don't know territories, herbs, and other resources that could be learned in games such as WCUE [Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition]. Now, I'm not going to go into specifics about every resource and it's uses, but I will go over more common ones. [To be added]. Fanmade role-plays won't have the same territories as in the Warriors books, but they'll either have a map or a designated spot that tells you what borders what. Creating a character Some role-plays will have things called litters. In litters, you can apply for a character, most often a kit, and answer designated questions to 'win' them. The litter title may be confusing and say something like, "The Brightest Corvid" A parented FCFS MC litter. Now let me explain what all those letters mean. A lot of litters will have a title that describes or fits the characters in it. The litter will either be parents or adopted, parented meaning they have at least 1 parent to take care of them, adopted meaning they were found somewhere, most likely at the border, and adopted by a member of the clan who found them. Then there's the letters after that. There are a least 3 terms used to to describe the acceptance process. FCFS stands for first come, first serve. In FCFS litters, the first applicant for one of the characters will get the character they applied for. Then there's SS. SS stands for semi-selective and means that the host of the litter will look through each application and stop when they see one they like, no matter how many applications are left. Finally, S, which means selective. In selective litters, the litter host will go through /every/* application before picking one they like [* // used to replace italics].
