Quirks about this game: - Diagonal movement is normalized, so you don't go faster when moving diagonally - Death bombing exists. It gives you 4 frames to death bomb. - Bullets sprites are automatically layered based on their size, so larger bullets are layered behind smaller bullets. - Being near a bullet (but not getting hit) will allow you to graze. Being near a bullet for 20 frames grants you 5 graze, and from there, you get 1 graze for every 15 frames you stay near the bullet. - You gain a life piece for every 100 graze you earn. Obtaining 3 life pieces will grant you an extra life.
