Name: Nephthytis (“Neff” for short) Male Species: Frilled Lizard Crello Medium: Darkness Character traits: Reserved, quiet, observant, introverted, kind in his own way, strong-willed Hobbies: Reading, hiding, eavesdropping, practicing with his medium (usually while hiding in a cave), resting, foraging Backstory: Nephthytis, while originally from Mangrove Island, moved around a lot, as his parents were merchants. During this time of his life, he spent most of his time reading, specifically reading books about legends and magic. When he became a teenager, he got tired of all this moving and decided to leave his parents and settle down on Evergreen Island, foraging in the forest to survive rather than choose a specific trade. As a parting gift, his parents got him a staff from the most skilled staff maker they knew. Despite that Neff left his parents, his relationship with them was never bad and he would set aside time to catch up with them every time they came to Evergreen Island. During his time on Evergreen Island, Neff practiced with his staff a lot in his free time, and one day he accidentally affected the oracle statue, which rebounded on him and made him get a medium despite his not being a champion. His medium was darkness. Not wanting to unnerve anyone with it, he told no one and instead trained harder than ever to make sure he could control his medium. When the curse swept through, Nephthytis encountered an almagamation and was infected. However, due to his medium of darkness, he was able to maintain control over himself and became a sort of half-cursebeast with a free will. Currently he’s traveling to Willow Island, desperate to discover how to stop the curse before his parents, who are back on Crello Island at the moment, get infected. (He plans to find the source of the curse and use that to find a way to cure the whole thing)
I have no idea if this type of character is even possible but I thought it’d be cool if it was :) @SkittlesTheBunny for “Curse of Willow Island” (CoWI) The Lord Almighty for designing the human mind to be creative (and the innumerable other things he’s done :) )
