Aestus (ay-stuhs) - tide - water - grumpy - dolphin-like tail - secretly nice - strong - hurt front left leg Backstory (I’m not sure if this works but I tried): Aestus was once an ordinal cat doing, uh ordinary cat things…Aestus loved the water, everything about, the way it felt on her fur, the way the morning sun hit it and more. Everyone would always comment on how her grey fur’s pattern looked like waves. Some people thought it was pretty, others thought it looked ugly. Actually the majority found it ugly and weird… Aestus always was teased by the other cats, and one day decided to go leave where she had lived her whole life, to go somewhere where she might fit in better, a few hours after leaving it started raining, she decided to wait the rain out in a cave, before entering she took a sniff, the air around the cave smelled like nothing had been there in a while, she fell asleep in the cave and woke up to the sound of breathing.. Aestus’s eyes quickly opened, the breaths sounded painful and slow, she slowly crawled towards the back of the cave, there she saw a dying mother badger, sentless and still. The badger sensed her and stood up, it gave a low growl, Aestus could see how much this pained the badger and stepped back. The badger lunged at her, teeth bared, it scratched her eye, blo@d started pouring down her face as she broke into a sprint. Thankfully it was no longer raining outside, but Aestus kept running picturing the badger right behind her… Eventually she took a rest in a field full of long grass, and collapsed (fainted). When she woke up there were two legs around her, they had cleaned her wound and put her in a comfortable. After a year with the twolegs Aestus considered them all family, that’s why it was so heartbreaking when they sent her back out alone into the wild. A few days later, there was a terrible flood and Aestus got pulled out to see, Aestus had never learned to swim so she drowned… Aestus expected to be in the afterlife when she opened her eyes, but instead she found herself floating over the spot she died, she looked around and saw she was with another cat, “Hello Aestus!”the cat said in a mystical all knowing voice. “When you died I looked through all your past..” “and I have…decided something..”the cat said. “WHAT?!”Aestus shouted at her. “Just know this is very rare, but I will give you a choice between the afterlife and another chance at life.” “You mean, like reincarnation?”Aestus asked, confused. “Kind of, but you will be in your own body, alive and well, with one extra thing,” “What other thing?”Aestus questioned “You will me magical, with powers..”said the cat, “now I will wait for your decision,” “I choose another chance,” said Aestus think of all the things she could have done differently, a small tear slid down her cheek. “Very well!”said the cat, sounding very pleased… Aestus woke up on the shore, her left front leg hurt, she looked and saw it was rapped in a cast like thing, “huh”she thought “I must have hurt it on a rock when I drowned”, she also glanced at the rest of her body, “huh? I’m blue..” “I don’t know what I will do in this life, but I hope it’s better than my last” that was though the that continues to repeat over and over in her head… Aestus over the years have gotten way more bitter, she even has figured out that she can control the waves.
