After 5 long, tedious years, many many dropouts, and 3 part remakes, its finally here. In october of 2020, just before quarantine, I came out online as apart of the LGBTQ+ community, and not long after, I shared the first MAP Call for this project. On December 28th, 2020, my girlfriend and I began dating. In April 2021 I began to question my gender. In August 2021 I came out as non-binary and chose my new name, which I've used ever since. And on December 28th of this year, my girlfriend and I celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Over those 5 years, I have gone through so much confusion, questioning, dysphoria, and euphoria. I found my identity in myself and not just in my labels, but I like to call myself a Genderfaun/Non-binary Lesbian. This MAP has been a work in progress through my entire pride journey, and when I began, I wanted to give others the ability to showcase their abilities and a snippet of their journey as well. Im so overjoyed to finally share this project with you all. It brought me to tears being able to see a project I started when I first came out finally be completed. I look at all these beautiful animations and like to think how my younger self would feel seeing this; so happy to see that other people are going through what I was too. Though I dont listen to Cavetown music as much anymore, his music got me through a huge part of my life. I resonated with so much of his music. This song was the first song I ever heard by him, and when I heard it initially, I didn't know exactly what it meant. But as I began to question my identity, and listen a little harder to the lyrics, I understood; I felt truly seen; not just by my peers, but by someone who was able to reach so many young people and give them the same ability he gave me. Thank you, all of you, whether you participated in the MAP, made a thumbnail, or just came here to support, and especially to those of you who swooped in and helped complete the last few parts so we could see this through. I know a lot of the people participating here aren't active anymore, but if you are and you see this, I cannot expression enough appreciation to you.
