Dev's log: Don't remember the date, but maybe a year ago (today is 11/20/2025), I wanted to recreate another great game, called Balatro. This card game fuses Poker and Solitare, creating a game that relies heavily on a card of the deck that seldom is used.... The Joker. Note that the game was initially released on the date described above, but will continue to update until I (Creationeer) finish the rough game. Polish MAY be added, but generality will dominate in most aspects. 11/20: Second release of the game and initial release date. Fully playable, just without 2/3s of the Jokers and Tarots not worked on. Cannot skip Blinds, cannot progress past Ante 4, only one Boss Blind (does not change), but otherwise entirely doable. 1/4: New years. A lot of progress, but also not finished. All Booster Packs can be opened, but only the Spectrals do not do what they say, along with The Fool in Arcana Packs. Added a funky background that is calculated in-game, as a homage to the original, which actually calculates in-game. Really good shaders (background calculator). All Planets work. All Tarots work, minus The Fool. Card Enhancements? Oh please, I did my homework. Vouchers, Seals, and 70 or so working jokers. A lot, but still a little.... 1/11: Many jokers later...still more...yet.... The uncommons are done. Only the rares and possibly legendries left. While the main content of the game (that being the jokers) nearly finished, there is still a lot to do: revisiting the blind progression. Literally all boss blinds minus the hook, although still including. Going through all the shop content, including packs, vouchers, and general reroll creation, as it's bugged. There are at least 15 separate bugs I know are in the game. Some break it, forcing a stoppage, others are visuals that simply are inconvenient. Skipping blinds doesn't exist, and the tags also need to be made. However, everything else is done, no joke. So please make sure you enjoy it, and understand that I have at least 50 hours on this project, almost certainly more. So appreciate it please. There'll be probably one or two more updates, but will be finished pretty soon. 1/25: Another update. Finished the rough outline of all 33 Boss Blinds. topped off around 130 of the jokers. Added little effects, reworking some parts I haven't tended to for ages, making it like LocalThunks, and whatsoever. Spectrals still don't work, and cannot skip a booster, I'll add that soon. Still can't skip blinds, and tidied up the joker configuration sprite. At around 65 hours now. 2/8: Second to last update. I'm so close. I really only have to check each thing. I did block count and it's over 15000. Talk about no life. 2/26: long time since update, but I'm pretty sure it's done. You'll need TurboWarp, since I implemented a lot of TurboWarp-only things that you'll need. It is unofficially done. 5/20: Another long stretch in which I worked on a variety of other projects, but came back to this one because of all the bugs it has, and the knowledge of it being unfinished even though my above words say otherwise. This annoying itch gave me the motivation to begin work on it again, fixing a ton of bugs and adding in other aspects. However, it still isn't finished.
