Sharing 90% of the Bolero's sheet metal but sporting a more traditional 3 box design, the Bossanova was an instant hit in the saloon friendly market of Spain, as well as a big part of Eastern Europe. In fact, it was so popular that it was still in production at the same time that the then-new Bolero IV came out. More thorough quality control measures meant that the bootlid in these wouldn't fly open, unlike other models from the Slovakia plant. It was a very common taxi back in the 00s and some can still be seen in service, and also as patrol cars serving in smaller communities (rural areas, villages, etc.).
