This is basically an improved version of Patate, with better mechanics and whatnot. This is still a work in progress, and is just an engine for an upcoming game. If you're wondering why there is a direction variable, it's just to fix a little bug that occurred in Patate. Also, the jump count variable wasn't supposed to be broken, but I suck at coding, so I can't fix it. It still does what I originally added it for though, so not a complete failure. :D Controls: Arrow keys for movement, Space to jump, Up arrow to do a little dash up, (in the air) Z to block/parry, (only has a use in an upcoming game) Down arrow to dash downwards, (in the air) Down arrow to crouch, (on the ground) V to boost, and that's pretty much it. The Changes I've made: Obviously scrolling exists now, An actual run cycle, Jump animation, You can't phase through the ground when dashing down, Blocking is a little less broken, (still kinda bad lol) You can crouch now, (STYLE POINTS LET'S GO lol) You're slower when you have nausea, You won't jump as high when you have nausea, You can't boost when you have nausea, You can't dash down when you have nausea, And lastly, an animation for boosting. I don't know if this is a lot to you, but 540 blocks is a lot to me.
