How to Play: (Read Directions 1-7 before starting to play) 1. Click on the two hearts to change them to whichever color you like 2. Click the red reproduce button repeatedly until you get a mutation 3. Click on the blue research button to claim the money amount of the research grant for your mutation, shown in orange. 4. Repeat until you get 100$, then click on the shop button and buy one of the options. 5. To continue playing click the green flag. 6. To win you need to buy all 3 options. 7. To begin playing the game press the full screen button to make screen with the hearts bigger.
I made this project by using scratch coding to show hearts with colors that represent Female and Male parents which can produce an offspring with Traits, Mutations, GMOs, and Genetic disorders. The red Reproduce heart represents initiation of reproduction. Human parents already select preferred traits when they choose the person they will marry, and how many children they attempt to have. For example if you marry a very tall person you are more likely to have at least some taller kids. Science can make Genetically Modified Organisms. People may decide if they want to modify their offspring using scientific methods. This may help people to still be able to marry the person they love, but avoid passing on genetic disorders to their children.
