Entry for If It Aint Love CC by ScratchCatGurl Plz read the story I wrote as well. I spent a lot of time on it. I also had no idea there was a character limit in the notes and credits. And thus I learned the true meaning of editing.
Backstory: Rosepaw and Bronzetail were two cats on the run. Their families were attacked by a group of foxes and most of their families died. The two (whom had grown up together as family friends) fled the situation and had been on the run for the last couple of years. Fending for themselves and each other. The two always thought of each other as friends, and they thought the other did too. There had never been any lustful feelings towards the other. Or so they thought. I may have written an entire mini story about them. Hehe. Bronzetail bashfully looked down at his paws. His face turning a ripe shade of crimson. Rosepaw looked so beautiful as she leapt across the field of flowers. She did not crush a single one. They stayed perfectly upright, standing tall, just like Rosepaw. This made Bronzetail feel skittish. He didn't know why. Rosepaw just looked so pretty. They had been friends for so long, but lately Bronzetail had been feeling some new reactions to things Rosepaw had done. For example: now. Rosepaw was just enjoying herself in a field of flowers but Bronzepaw felt as though she was the most elegant thing in the universe. Then a sudden sensation crept over Bronzepaw. What if these feelings we not just friend feelings anymore. What if he liked her. You know like like. Like have a crush on. WHAT IF HE LOVED HER!!!!???? They had been family friends for as long as Bronzepaw could remember and they had taken care of each other as they were on the run to find shelter. And she definitely did not like him back in the way he was thinking. She just liked him as a friend. Right? Or did she like him back? Wait, did he just admit he liked her? Bronzepaw took a deep breath to calm himself down. Rosepaw had been touching him more lately, and cuddling with him at night as they slept, and she never left his side as they went looking for food. Are those symptoms of having a crush on someone? Or are those normal female moves? Ugh girls. They could be so confusing. One minute they are flirting with you, and the next they hate you. But Rosepaw's touchiness had been going on for a little while now. Bronzepaw gazed out at Rosepaw and decided to tell her now. Exactly how he felt. This was perfect. In a field of flowers. He bent down and picked a flower and clenched it in his teeth as he walked up to Rosepaw. She had her back to him at the moment. Perfect. He walked up and tapped her lightly on her shoulder with his paw. Maybe holding it there a little longer than necessary. As Rosepaw turned around he suddenly regretted this. He had not thought this through. What if she didn't return the feelings he had for her? What if she didn't want to travel with a lovestruck cat anymore. "Yes Bronzetail?" Rosepaw said in her beautiful voice. Her fur was swept in a beautiful position for the wind. Bronzetail resisted the urge to go and touch it. Woah! Bronzetail snapped back into reality and noticed Rosepaw staring at him. "Rosepaw I..." he couldn't do it. Rosepaw's eyes lit up when she saw the flower in his mouth and a blush crept up onto her cheeks. She dipped her neck in a sexy way, making Bronzetail shudder. She was so pretty. He had to tell her now. But he couldn't. "Didn't your mom like these flowers?" Bronzetail said, referencing the flowers in his teeth's clutches. "Oh" Rosepaw said in a meek disappointed voice. All the excitement left her face and she looked embarrassed. Bronzetail wasn't sure why she looked like that. Maybe it was the memory of her mom. She was probably thinking of the fox that killed her mom on that scary night. "Yeah my mom liked them" Her tone turned bitter. Bronzetail could feel the waves of longing Rosepaw was emitting. Bronzetail turned away. He hated seeing Rosepaw somber. "C'mon we should keep moving" Bronzetail announced. "There is a city nearby and there might be some potential homes waiting for two cats there" "Yeah, okay" Rosepaw answered trudging after him. They had walked for a few hours and could finally see the city. Bronzetail was confused why Rosepaw was not talking to him. She had shut him out, which was strange for her because she was a naturally talkative cat. The sun was setting over the city. It looked beautiful, just like Rosepaw. Bronzetail suddenly turned towards her. Their noses missed each others only by centimeters. Rosepaw looked startled. "Rosepaw there is something I have to tell you" Bronzetail took a deep breath to steady his voice. Rosepaw got that exited look again. She bit her bottom lip as if nervous. "I like you" Bronzetail exclaimed. Rosepaw's eyes lit up. "Like I really like you" Bronzetail said bashfully. "I really like you too" Rosepaw said in barely a whisper. Bronzetail barely heard it. She leaned into Bronzetail. "I was afraid to tell you earlier" Bronzetail said. "I wish you had. I thought you were going to" Rosepaw replied. "Well at least I told you now" Bronzetail said lovingly. And they walked paw in paw in paw towards the sunlit city.
