Chapter 6 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Fine, let's go." Harry says furiously. Suddenly, Peeves shoots out of a classroom. "Di immortales," I mutter, "At the perfect moment." The Gryffindors start begging and bartering with Peeves. My mind spinning, I look around. There's door; if we run for it, we could make it... ? "STUDENTS OUT OF BED! STUDENTS OUT OF BED DOWN THE CHARMS CORRIDOR!" We all meet each others' eyes and sprint for the door. Ron jiggles the handle. "It's locked!" "Oh, just move over! Alohamora!" Hermione mutters impatiently. We all run through the door, just as Filch pretty much arrives. They exchange a booooring conversation. Hermione gasps. "What?" I ask. "Look!" She half whispers, pointing to a three headed dog that's obviously bigger than normal. "Look at the trapdoor." I follow her gaze. Under the dog's paw is a trapdoor, and I feel an urgent sense of curiosity. What's in it? Why is there a dog here? Then it hits me: at the beginning of the year, Dumbledore said that the third floor corridor was out of bounds. And now we'll die. Maybe. Probably. When the boys finally notice the large towering dog behind them, they start running down the corridor. I run back to the Slytherin common room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You're /still/ here?" I ask Draco Malfoy. He looks a bit surprised. "How many detentions do you have?" He asks back. "None," I say proudly, "What have you been doing, waiting for me?" "Delusional much?" "You wish." I stomp back to my dorm room. Only when I close the door do I realize that Audrey's missing.
