Cobalt groaned blinking awake, she found herself chained heavily to a table, tight enough she couldn't move. She was muzzled loosely to prevent fire and was blindfolded as well. She heard talons and growled "Who's there? Eclipse?" She asked mildly confused as she remembered who had sedated her. Eclipse sat down "Yes it's me. I'll let you up but I need a few answers first." She explained. Cobalt frowned "What's this about?" She snapped "It's about what's happened. Tell me. What happened to Viper and your mom?" She asked calmly. Cobalt snarled in anger "That vile IceWing came in and-and stabbed Viper in the chest before using a wire to behead my mother!" She roared trying to thrash free. "Then tell me how you started eating dragons" Eclipse continued. Cobalt froze "How... How do you know I do that? I-I never told you." She asked. "It doesn't matter. Answer the question." Eclipse sighed feeling bad at this point. "I- at the foster house. I just wanted more and attacked my guardian." She admitted. "You wanted more? Tell me who was your *very* first victim then?" Eclipse pressed. "It was- I-" Cobalt couldn't remember. Her memory having been overwritten. "I can tell you. Viper. Remember please! You were trapped in a cave with him and he died and you had to eat him to survive! Please remember Cobalt!" Eclipse begged. Cobalt laid there. Genuinely thinking, trying to understand what her friend was telling her. The memory flickered in her mind but couldn't remain. "But that doesn't make sense! I would remember that!" She cried out in confusion. "You did but somehow this RainWing named Gecko changed your memory of what happened. We don't know how." Eclipse sighed "We?" Cobalt echoed. "Me and Flurry." Eclipse said. Cobalt immediately tried to wrench free snarling. "You've been talking to that horrible murderous creature!?" She roared trying to get free. "I have. I can't let you out till you remember Cobalt. Flurry isn't the enemy! Please remember! He was with you in the SandWing palace when I rescued you! He was there when you lost your eye! Please! You lost it trying to save him! Remember please I don't want to keep you chained up here like a monster!" Eclipse begged, holding her friends talon. Cobalt stopped thrashing, thinking. But the gears refused to click, like a stripped screw refuses to turn she couldn't remember. Eclipse left the room, crying lightly. Flurry looked at her "Any luck?" He asked. She shook her head crying more. He hugged her silently, feeling bad for the small hybrid having to chain her closest friend to the point of immobility to protect him. "We'll figure this out. Even if I have to go to Gecko and torture the answer out of him myself, we will fix Cobalt." He told her as she just cried in his arms.
